Hi everybody, Been a long time. I hope everybody is well.
Raphael, I was thinking of you because it looked like one of the ships you work on is docked next to the Bonhomme Richard.
There are LPDs close to the Bonhomme Ric, but I only work DDG-1000 now. Today I was at NBSD within 100 meters of BH, felt sad at the view and did not take pictures out of respect for the ship and everyone placing themselves at risk to try and save it. Navy ships are filled with the hearts of those whose whose hard work bring it to life each day.
For thosewho only know it as "The Cape of Good Hope" these images from facebook will show why the early Portuguese navigators called it the "Cape of Storms"
Not MF but for interest - we're 480Km away and have been lashed by gale force winds surging up to 48 Knots for the past couple of days. looks like it's blown itself out today though - very cold though 7*C in a high wind is not pleasant
Missed focus and/or too slow a shutter speed on this one but I liked the dogs' pram and infrared tattoos of the owner of the French and British bulldogs.
What has been the market price for lenses? I was last in the purchasing mode in 2017 and have not been paying attention.
I think I've seen some of the Z series bodies being used here. I'm assuming the adapter must be used Do non-ai lenses work? Is there a non-AIS adapter?
Non-AI work well on the FTZ. The FTZ only has the push down switch for maximum aperture position so there is nothing that the skirt of unmodified Pre-AI lenses can get caught on. The Z’s use stop down metering for non-cpu lenses. You just set the focal length in the Non-CPU lens registry to enable VR and go. Use manual or aperture priority and choose your shutter speed and turn the aperture ring to your desired setting.

Few more with the 55/1.2 S.C. & F100. Kodak Ultramax 400
It's brilliant how this lens goes from nicely dreamy & arty to razor sharp with a few aperture clicks. From the little I've seem so far, f/2.8 seems to be where you have the best chance of getting that 3D effect.
