I think I'm sold on the software, especially since it handles Fuji raw files so much better than LR. If you shoot with a Fuji, you'll know what I mean.

Marin is one of the more "progressive" counties in California, so there was no pushback evident when we were asked to shelter -in-place and then to socially distance with masks required in virtually every store. Restaurants and bars have yet to open, delivering meals or selling at their door where customers can pick them up. The farmer's market has reduced the number of vendors, increased the size of aisles and require face masks to shop. People are encouraged to maintain physical distance both in lines and when walking through. I think most people do as Sue and I did... buy what we came for and left immediately. For us that was stops at two vendors. 18 purple Cherokee tomatoes between the two of us plus other assorted vegetables.
I thought you might be interested in the producer we rely on... Tomatero Farms. They have amazing young people working the farm and the markets. They are located near Santa Cruz, 113 miles from the Marin Civic Center. Imagine that drive with a large truck filled with produce that must be ready for sale at 8:00 a.m. They serve a number of markets, including two in Marin... Thursday and Sunday....Show more →
Sounds like your market is working like ours. I've been told by the City Manager that he will shut us down if people don't obey the mandate set forth by the Governor in regards to masks, social distancing, etc.
Thanks for the link.

Love the black and white image from Rockfish Gap. If I'm forced to move to the Adobe Creative Cloud to use Lightroom I too will be looking for another piece of software. I hesitate to even download a demo and spend time learning it, at least right now when Lightroom continues to work in Mojave OS. I'll likely not upgrade to Catalina until I'm forced to, though a friend much more knowledgeable about such things said even the latest security updates for Mojave could destroy the functionality of Lightroom 6. I'm simply not willing to pay a monthly fee to use software. Keep up the excellent work Leighton and share it with all of us... ...Show more →
Thanks, but I had to take the image down. I just realized it was taken with a Fuji lens, sorry.
If you have to leave LR, seriously give Capture one a try. I'm liking better and better every time I use it.
You might as well wait until Big Sur comes out this Fall to upgrade, although I've seen some folks don't like the looks of the UI.
Speaking of power to the people. Looks like folks against the pipeline won and Dominion Energy has canceled their construction of what was going to be a 40" gas pipeline from West VA to the coast.

I am at Mojave 10.14.6 and no issues with LR6
never thought about having problem with security updates
Will check carefully before I do another update

You still plan on getting to OBX this year?
No OBX this year. Just hanging and doing some day trips during the week. Did a long hike at a state park today. Saw about 10 people total in just about 9 miles. Everyone giving way on the trail. Better than in the grocery store

These infrared B&W shots seem like a perfect representation of this alternate virus universe we find ourselves in at the moment. Same world just something’s very different.
I’m so over all this. I hate wearing a mask. Especially in 95% humidity but if u don’t it’s like you’re some sort of foreign monster
I want to fly on a plane again!
I hear you about the humidity. 95% when we hit the trail this morning, got a little better but not much. Looked at the weather app on my phone during a water break. Was 94 degrees with a feel like of 104 F.
I tell you one thing, my next photography related spending is going to be talking to my optometrist seeing if eye surgery is an option for my vision. I am tired of glasses fogging up trying to take pictures. And don't get me started about fogging up with a mask on

Thanks for that Reagan... I'm at 10.14.04 and have hesitated to install the latest update. Now I feel I can give it a shot. My workflow with Lightroom and Photoshop CS6 works so well, though with the Photoshop I keep getting a message that it isn't supported. I did buy Affinity Photo but haven't spent enough time with it to see if that is the next photo software I'll use. It may be that whatever replaces LR will be sufficient and I won't need another program. As it stands, all I do in Photoshop is run Nik software, reduce size, sharpen, convert to 8 bit and then save images. I know there are other ways to do this but my attitude is "if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it..."
Wista SP, Nikkor-SW 75 4.5, Rollei Infrared 400 developed in Cinestill Df96 monobath.
Samy - love how the effect has emphasised those clouds, it's quite spectacular.
Curtis - some amazingly crisp magnolia shots with that old 135mm, especially the last couple.
But you've completely missed focus in trying to shift blame to me. And of course you're not the only enabler. Rafael is incorrigible and George is not far behind. Thanks to George I'm 300 euros poorer over a 35mm S mount lens and now looking around for a 50 and 10,5cm.
Talking about eye glasses. I had this little phase where I got a couple of those Kievs and Feds to try the chrome LTMs on. I had to go get new eye glasses soon after with all the scratches the rear viewfinders were putting on the glass. I still have those cameras somewhere with pieces of electric tape as protection on the crude edges of those viewfinders.
I am sure a Nikkor would have done equally well Leighton Weren't you the thread cop way back when/
I did get a look at it and the scene was gorgeous! And I liked that selfie too, at least for that one you stuck to rules

If tape doesn't work, try some Sugru. Stuff works great. Mold just enough to make a ring around the viewfinder.
