While not a vacation, per se, I will be traveling in a couple weeks, too. The memorial service for my mother in law is set for the 23rd down the Cape. I'm contemplating hitting Gloucester, Rockport, and Hammond Castle before I head back.
Which reminds me, I have to get one of those blasted EZ-Pass transponders for tolls now, as they are taking down all the toll booths, and if you don't have one, they charge you more for the blasted tolls. UGH. Now to figure out who's got the "best deal"

I had a NY-NJ E-Z Pass that I tried to cancel for over six months. The catch is that you have to cancel in writing ... not email or over the phone. Despite NOT using it for two years they bill you a dollar a month service fee. I sent their final check stapled in four place to my written cancellation and they denied getting it. Needless to say it was a hot conversation with the contractor, not state employees who administer this program. Just this month they gave me credit for the past overcharges and sent me a statement with a zero balance..

I've processed a lot taken at Lake Powell. Thanks to Jay for the tips he provided and very lucky to have been on this Lake when the water level was down 85-90 feet below normal. This allowed a small boat into the slot canyons and the opportunity to observe what was formerly underwater.
We used the Antelope Marina that is east of the dam and on Navajo lands. We rented a small powerboat, used the map with buoy markers they provided and google maps on the iPhone to get where we were going. Never got lost!
The canyons we visited were the more scenic and narrow "Labyrinth Canyon" and "Navajo Canyon." Now for a tour of the first.

Love the last shot, Ken! Looks like a serene place. Very colorful.
Since we're doing "gear shots", here is my contribution
Talk about brassing.. I shot my Df so much that I wore the rubber pieces and also the front panel next to the fn and pv buttons. These are actually made of plastic, so once the silver paint wore out, it reveals the white plastic material. Still looks great though!
Quick question to my fellow MFNG aficionados: Is it true that the Nikkor-N 35 1.4 is multicoated? Even though it's not the "N.C" version? I keep reading this everywhere but not sure if it's true. The N.C version is somewhat tough to find, but I see the N version everywhere.

I'm thinking I'm going to get one of those gift cards and let them charge that, instead. Once it runs out of funds....

I would, but I'm working up till 0730 on the 20th, and leaving the 21st. Memorial is the 23rd. I've not been on the Mohawk Trail since I was a kid, but that hairpin turn still stands out in my mind.
