I don't know whether Anthony is in trouble or has a very kinky friend...
But for the rest of us folks there are always flowers to shoot. Today I mounted the 300 f/4.5 H AI... a beautiful lens that is both quite heavy and not very highly regarded. I bought it honestly for the looks and haven't used it often. Here is a photo of the lens next to the 200 f/4 Q.C. AI... both gorgeous lenses.
I was pleasantly surprised with its performance today. I shot everything at f/5.6, often in Manual Mode at 1/500th of a second. This shot is interesting because I capture a bee flying above the flower, its wings in a barely visible blur. Not too bad despite the fringeing... hand held, of course.

Took out my lovely little Nikkor-H 50mm f/2 from 1967 out this evening. Amazing close up, even better at infinity wide open!
I love 1st one
I have a 300/4.5 AI-s, which is the same optical construction as the H, I think. My copy is definitely a lot better focused close than at infinity where it consistently disappoints. I don't use it often, but I've more than gotten my money's worth, $0.00 for a pristine copy in the original box. A friend was fed up with photography years ago and gave me his copy as well as a Gitzo tripod. Now if George would just get fed up with that Leica Monochrom. I'm not holding my breath.
That's the kind of deal we're always looking for Ken... though I doubt you'll hook George with that one. It definitely looks like an intriguing camera but WAY out of my price range...

Phong has one and uses it to great effect.
I was about to sell mine when his pictures, using this lens, appeared on the thread.
So I changed my mind and kept it.
I have used it recently during lockdown but a relatively stiff focus throw means I find it difficult to lock onto moving objects.

Oh yes, I've got it.
Reason to buy it very simple. I saw someone in this MFNG takes motor action with MF lens then wanted to challenge myself. I've never got such kind of skill. For now, only still life photo.
I took a stroll through the local backroads and public footpaths last night.
Armed myself with the D7100 infrared & 16/3.5 because it was bright and sunny.
According to the compass on my iPhone I'm at -10m (or -30ft).
That's not very accurate, it is at -3m or -10ft.
If the dikes break I have to sit on the roof.
For those of you fed up with Adobe/Mac consider DXO Photolab 3. It's and excellent raw converter, very intuitive and has a comprehensive manual as well as many webinars. I wasn't prepared to get locked into Lr and I process raw images in DXO and export to my 2012 copy of Photoshop elements. The Nik plugins work seamlessly with DXO (same company) and I'm a very happy camper.

It has everything to do with the software you're running Leighton and since you've been operating in a windows environment you're likely going to need to replace some of that. Of course, you should be able to run Parallel or whatever the current Apple offering that allows you to run Windows on your machine. My guess your move to Mac, however, is the fact you're not happy running Windows. And, of course, if you're prepared to pay Adobe every month you'll have no problem with a Mac computer. But definitely in switching systems you'll want to assess your software needs...
There are a couple of reasons why I might switch to Mac
I love Windows 7, but I'm not crazy about Windows 10.
Once this market season is over and I'm finally retired, I won't need to worry about using the software I currently use, or maintaining files for the market. It will be a fresh start.
I'll probably dump LR and switch over to Capture One.
And one of the main reasons is...I want to challenge myself learning something new. In this case, a new operating system and a whole new computer ecosystem. But who knows, the new Dell XPS 15 coming soon looks REALLY interesting and it has the ability of do-it-yourself upgrades of internal components. Decisions...decisions.

According to Google Earth, I'm just shy of 2000ft or 609.6m. And partly because of our altitude, we're going down below freezing on Friday night. So damn, I'll have to cover my potatoes!

According to google earth it's -3ft.
BTW google earth is not working in the standard browser (Safari) on a Mac (I used firefox).
