Rafael, I'm glad your foot wasn't broken. I can't be sure from the images above, but is that Dymondia margaratae ground cover? I've brought back starts from southern Calif. several times, trying to get it to grow in Portland. It's just too wet here.
Hah! I see the fake news has found its way to the UK. A friend pointed me to the label on a Lysol can a couple of days ago. It’s effective it says on SARS as well as Corona,
I hope to shoot some tomorrow. I’m selling some gear, so I need to setup the tripod anyway. So I will take a shot of my very beat up and used daily carry. I also hope to get through more of the challenge shots as well.

Glen I had to check a map to see where Nanaimo BC is... WOW! What a location. I was accepted into graduate study at the University in BC but was unable to make the logistics work. My then wife was offered a teaching job in Burnaby but couldn't take it if I entered Canada on a student visa. We needed her income so I could go to school. If we entered via land immigrant status we could only do so based on MY employment. I'd been a computer programmer so we likely could have made that work, but then I couldn't go to graduate school. The solution was to accept the offer from the University of Washington in Seattle. Vancouver became our playground. We drove up regularly to enjoy that gorgeous city. I know you're across the water but what a stunning location. Yes, you get serious rain... though I just checked an you get 10 inches less a year that WE do in Marin... mmm but it says you get rain 170 days a year, which seems like quite a bit...
The photos are reminiscent of the fjords in Norway. Looks like a lovely place to call home.
Vancouver Island, and BC overall, is definitely among the world's most naturally beautiful places, Curtis; and I feel very grateful and blessed to have been given the opportunity to live here for the final quarter-to-a-third of my life (knocking on wood!). And your connection to this area is a very cool coincidence indeed! There are several universities in BC, of which the two best known are Simon Fraser University and University of British Columbia---there's even a Vancouver Island University. I am assuming that it was the well-respected UBC where you were accepted. My brother went there to get his PhD in biology (more specifically, evolutionary ecology), my sister-in-law completed her Master's in biology there, and my nephew completed his Master's degree in theoretical physics at that same fine school. Small world!
Here is my take on challenge #1, in which I highlight some of the circles found in my small (compared to MFNG ) collection of guitars. I went Nikon-on-Nikon for these, using my much neglected D800E with my similarly underutilized 24 f/3.5 PC-E.

24 hours on and it turns out it was sarcasm.
How could I have been so silly to have misinterpreted that from the White House news briefing clips shown here in the UK
I am straying into dangerous (off-topic) ground here so I will leave it at that.
Hopefully we will see lots of Challenge photos from people this weekend.
I have enjoyed trying to fit the challenges to things in and around my house and garden.
It has forced me to think differently and impulsively.
Such a good idea to help relieve the boredom of lockdown - so thanks to Curtis and George for setting this up.
One of my kids' old 2011 Macbooks. It still functions. I have the glass to replace the broken screen but just have not found the time to effect the repair.
A little color from the Conservatory Garden, Central park.
Took this one from the sky box seats. Background is the Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center @ 5th Ave between 105th & 106th streets. Waited a tad for the lady and pups to come into the frame.
Thankfully the Tribe here has kept their recreational lands open to tribal members and locals with a permit (me), so we can still get out and enjoy some fresh air, otherwise I would be going stir crazy for sure!.
Here's another one from my 35-200 zoom from last month - a new spot along the Flathead River looking east.
This isn't in response to any of the "challenges", just a photo
