Finally got around to pulling some pictures off my camera. Some of them are over a year old! Sheesh... Anyway, this shot is from my dining room table, shot through my open patio door. We have a bird bath and feeder on our small patio and we have turned into quite the layover for birds. I have seen about 15 different kinds of birds. So my quarantine project is to try and capture all of them. I wish I wasn't working yesterday, there was a green parrot that I had only seen in Southern California up here yesterday. I was very surprised to see it in Sacramento...
Fuji XE1 with Nikkor 300/2.8 ED AI. Talk about an awkward handheld situation. Any idea what kind of bird? Jose?
Found an old cache of photos at the wild animal park with the TC-16a 400mm 3.5 and D3. I disliked the rendition of this combo back then and did not know how to process it, now I do.
This gorilla was in social distancing for 4 weeks.

Laura good shots with the 180. Here’s one of your favorite places as photographed by a darn good drone pilot! Enjoy!!
That's quite a drone ride, Ken
Just reflecting how countries spend themsleves into debt with military hardware. It would be interesting to see what could have been, and could be, accomplished with the money spent on the arms race.
It was forecast with chilling accuracy by President Eisenhower in his farewell speech which in today's world is worth reading. A really great American.
According to the Merlin app on my iPhone (Cornell University makes it) your bird is the Yellow-rumpled Warbler.

Risking politics here. Peter, it’s a noble thought but in this world, power whether it be military, economic or both, is the controlling factor in countries that vie for leadership. Since the atomic bomb, there has been a ninety percent reduction in conflict related deaths. The first 50 years of the 20th century were far more horrific than its last 50 years. The last seven decades shows us that not all conflict has disappeared. What it does show is wars are fought on a much smaller scale. The world without any military would be like a classroom without a teacher.
