Gary, nice look. I need get myself an older lens down the road. I like what I see from 35lux V1, goggle version is pretty expensive though, and maybe an even older Leica cron...
(Ron, are you watching, yeh, my taste is indeed changing )
Those portraits were taken at WO, ISO160, 1/60s and some of them might need push exposure another 1~1.5 stop. I was in manual. Shooting leica in Manual is really fun. I love the feeling of under control.

Katie, Those Low contrast files looks great to me.

I start bring my Leica M out more and more, re-finding love of 35cron is the driven power.
Here are a few from yesterday after sunset, all took after sunset, and shutter speed range from ISO160 1/30~1/15, F2~f4. In location, I instantly remember Luka's image I saw before. I tried several compositions. I didn't get the higher focal point to control perspective I like most due to space constrain, but still want share some images.

All by 35cron V1

Michael - excellent! At first I though you were reposting one of Luka's images for some reason, then saw the rest of them and read your comment.

Gary - love the rendering and the moment!

Adam - not sure what else to suggest...

zhangyue - I was just thinking that you used dnoirs image to illustrate a point as soon as I saw it. Until I read what you wrote Great shots, I like the whole set. Nice colours, nice mood.. I also like shooting my M on manual mode, and feel most of the time I get the best results doing so.

Brightness is something I really struggle with. Especially for clients. I have a calibrated monitor, but everyone else doesn't. So it's a real struggle. For what it's worth, on my uncalibrated monitor, your images look great. The right amount of brightness (I haven't seen your shots on my calibrated monitor, but I'm sure they're fine).

Thanks for comments and likes!

Charlie, I am enjoying your mountain photos
Edward, great colors as usual in your street shots
Ron, well done on the dance floor. I agree on how useful the focus tab can be when you want to pre-focus, I have tried to use it myself as much as possible when shooting street with a 35mm.
Adam, beautiful portrait
Gary, very nice photo. I am keeping an eye out for that lens myself
Katie, I can understand that those kind of photos is what the agent wants.
Michael, great set and I agree that they are very Luka-like.

Two photos that perhaps could be titled 'Diverging interests'. Taken with CV 75/2.5, 75mm could be an interesting focal length for street photos when I want a little more reach or to compress the scene. I am going to try my 75 a little more for this and if it works out it might be worthwhile to 'upgrade'.

Joakim ... I am really loving your stuff these last two pages.
Ron - impressive wedding work. Colors are VERY natural.
Adam - brightness is indeed my struggle... I can never tell if it's right until I actually print something.
Zhangue - love the boat shots!
Gary - Nice shots with the "older" lens! It's a very different look from you ... can't wait to see more!

More wide angle work from me...

Adam, thanks. Not only power lines, but sometimes internal electronics such as SD card, sensor overheating, or just the camera processor activity can cause the banding.

Zhangyue, lovely photos with the cool bluish metallic cast.

Joakim, nice funny street shots!

Katie, really like the 1st shot!

Gary, no. 3 is fantastic imho

Thanks for all comments and likes.

Adam, Thanks for your comments. I haven't be able to calibrate my imac for three month since upgrade to latest operating system, my i2 no longer supports latest mac. I have been thinking get a monitor before buy calibration tool.

As for brightness, or exposure etc, I feel there is no absolutely right or wrong for what I do most case

Joakim, like that #1.

Katie, Nice color on 2nd one, and I like your son's expression of last one.

Gary, My fav is last color one, great moment.

Some more from 35cron after dark, ISO640

zhangyue - Not use to the M9 grain nice shots though! Yeah, ever since I upgraded to PowerBook Retina everything has been pixelated anyway.. So I have to jump onto my 27thunderbolt to do anything, even small editing work.

rirakuma - Cool slices of life.

Gary Clennan - Nice rendering, especially good in the black and whites.

KatieInTexas - Nice to see you posting

joakim - I like the 75APO rendering a lot. I'm off and on tempted by the 75Lux, but can never find a good copy for sale. Nice shots BTW.

Yeh, I know. Maybe BW will be better, but was trying to keep blue and golden in there. I saw the bird took last fly of the day and land there. it merely captured a view in mind than IQ. I like them personally though. thanks

Here is one more in dark the same day. 35cron V1 1/15s ISO640 with some push

Great shots by everyone, and as usual interesting twist and turns.....Michael, are you cooling a bit on the D810? Or maybe you just overdid it and need a break Anyway love those 35 shots

These are for Edward. I took my most ambitious foray with M9 yet, and on the way took some shots with the zm 35/2 I don't use it all the time, mostly because the 28&50 crons are so good the 35/2 gets left as extra weight. Of course the 35/2 is right there.

about halfway to my trailhead is a great viewpoint, which I have just reached in this shot, My house is over the ridgeline on the horizon.

View of what you may ask:

That's Mt Borah, Idaho's tallest mountain, on the left. Hopefully I'm teasing out some of the great attributes of this lens.

I love the undulations and curves in the landscape, and I can understand why many old cultures regarded the earth as the living body of a deity.

I finally reached the trailhead:
