Gary - cool find, particularly the first scene. The slightly decaying quality is something I've always loved about older European cities.
Tom - welcome back to the thread and good work with the wedding. Always nice to see a fresh eye for these, i.e. someone for whom it isn't regular, and therefore, routine work.

I think I already posted some selects from camping at Killarney a while back, but finally got around to processing everything recently, and redid the previous ones as well. Interesting how revisiting images, even after only a short time, can result in a different set of post processing preferences. For some of these I found myself skewing more towards a 'Velvia' look. Not sure why... but I do very much like the geography around Lake Huron and how bold the colour can be after some tweaks in post.
I'm going to Copenhagen for an extended weekend, I'll leaving my M9 at home and instead I'm going to bring the MP and shoot film only. I'm looking forward to it and I am curios what the experience will be like.

Charlie - a lovely set. I also like what you did with the a7 and LTM lenses. The 21 SEM images above have a really wonderful rendering and roundness to them, particularly the fourth (#88). While the CV is nice, it feels a little bit muted without the same depth. I've been using my v.II a fair amount recently for weddings and am having somewhat mixed feelings about it. It's most definitely competent, but to my eyes, missing a little 'mojo' as the Huffster would put it.
Joakim - a very enjoyable, idyllic scene! Have fun with the MP. You should post the results here, I don't think anyone will mind..

Ron lately I have been enjoying those shots that you bring the horizon down low towards the bottom of the frame. Very nice. I enjoy the others too, but lately these are the ones that catch my eyes.
Here are a few random shots... dinner and campfire, all with the 50 Lux ASPH. The shot of the lake was with the Canon 35/2 LTM. Waited around for sunset but it never quite materialized in an interesting way...

Ron the black and white shows the texture of the rocks really well. The colour I find the reflection in the water stands out a little more. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks Thomas and Robert - I agree the B&W has a more graphical impact and also feel the cinematic crop helps this particular image. Yet I also like the colour version...

My GF and I in our bright red rental canoe sparked the photographic creativity of at least one other camper in the backwoods of Killarney as we circled around in a bay by his campsite. He thanked us for the spontaneous photo opp and I can't help but think of the stereotypical National Geographic images from the ~1950s of someone in bright red clothing or canoe in a natural environment... Red sure does grab the eye in a scene dominated by blues and greens.

All with the 21 SEM. Also shot some with the 28 Cron and 50 Lux ASPH, but like the wideness of the 21 in these. With the sun getting lower I did run into a couple instances where the 28 Cron flared... something to watch out for with it. The SEM is better, but can also be affected by this. The sun is just out of the frame in the last one above and the SEM held up pretty well, though the hood probably help a fair amount here.
How about Hektor or Rex? That was the name of Max Berek's dogs (he was an early Leica/Leitz lens designer, among other things). There are Hektor and Summarex lenses, though I think the Hektor has maybe a run of the mill reputation.

I agree - Cron would be a cool name for a dog. However, if it's a big black one, you'll probably want Nocti, since you'll need a Noctilux to pull the details out of the light-sucking abyss of black fur... Though Nocti doesn't sound as tough.
