Shots from last night at Fest Junina, Brazilian celebration. This is where I feel the M240 and 50 Lux works great. Low light, at f/1.4 6400 ISO. This is much easier to use than the A7r where the AF does not work well, and struggling with MF on FE 55. Often I use shutter speeds of 1/25 sec with the M240, where there is no light, and if you can catch a glimpse of the eye or nose, it is quick to focus with the RF
Edwards and Charlie great captures on this page, the high iso capability of the M was the best of any leica I have ever tried, def. miss it for that reason

Happy Fathers Day to all... I will catch up on posts later today. Here are a few from our local Flag Day ceremony yesterday. My town is one of the longest to celebrate this holiday continuously... it is not a national holiday, but is the day the US adopted the flag. Very Norman Rockwell here!
The Sonnar weights 450 grams and feels well balanced on the M. But after 2 hours shooting I did feel numb in the arms

Charles - very nice low light shots with the M240. The noise is much more pleasing compared to other sensors I have seen.
Edward - neat action shots, I really like the last one. Do you practice any martial arts?

Been away for a few days... just back catching up and also in time to watch the Germany-Portual game...
Hopefully we won't see any Leica QC problems (more than usual) following Portugal's drubbing by Germany (seeing as how much of Leica's production hinges on their Portuguese facility).
It wouldn't be the first trashing of the Portuguese by the Germans. With 4-0 victory you can expect M240s to come with falling knobs and crooked sensors, but maybe that's one of the reasons Leica moved the production to Wetzlar

Thought that I'd share some good news I got over the weekend. Besides having one of my photos selected to be in the exhibit at the Soho Gallery in New York (only 42 out of 2600 were selected) opening is on July 1st 6-8PM. I just found out that I was selected to have a one man exhibit at the Rangefinder Galley here in Chicago at 300 W Superior probably next July but the exact month hasn't been determined but it will be sometime next summer.
So if anyone in New York can come to the opening on July 1 I would like to meet you or if you can't make that then come to Chicago next summer. And as it looks it will probably be next July.
