A few shots this morning at Loyola Law School (taking a bar prep class). Leica M Monochrom with 1940-ish Carl Zeiss Jena 5cm f/2 Sonnar T and orange filter, ISO 320, minimal post.
Thank you Charles and Ocean for the kind comments.
I plan to shoot with the 25 biogon exclusively in the coming week because it's also my least used lens, so I would like to rediscover it and get acquainted with it.
I had the opportunity to jump on a M240 at a good price, so rather then trying to compensate with my out of alignment one, I just added one that is spot on to the lineup (No I will not be keeping three, will sell it off after the trip and the two weddings I'm shooting this June). But the odd thing is, and what's worth mentioning is that my first two M240s are very cool in tone on the LCD screens (first one a slight bit more so then the second), but this third one is WARM WARM WARM... About 1,500k difference, and when I set the LCD to LOW its much darker then my other two cameras (my other two cameras are set to low, but they're bright like the new cameras medium setting) kinda ridiculous right?!
Does anyone else notice this? Is there some kinda of backdoor into the M240 that'll allow me to adjust the color/tint myself. I know that on the M9 cameras you could do a button sequence like a video game, up down up up down down left right... You get the idea. Wonder if the M240 has this, and if it has a option for LCD adjustment?
EDIT: And when I say my other two cameras are "cool" I mean in comparison.. They're actually accurate, this new camera looks like CSI Miami..

Adam, this is a known and well documented issue with the new LCD supplier. It seems Leica changed suppliers about 6 months ago, and there was a bad batch rendering colors as too warm. Leica will normally exchange the camera for you as I have seen with other cases, or you might want to request just an LCD replacement if you're happy with the camera you have.
Got any closer macro shots of the leash Katie? Joke
The cat in the gutter and the one right below of your son is great with very very strong composition!! His eyes balance the left! (wish we could do shot of the week here, that would be my vote)

Phil - good ones!
Katie - I agree with Phil - the cat and the next image after it of your son. No need to worry about spamming the thread. It's good someone is keeping it moving.
Here are some from Lake Huron a few days ago:
Basically the same scene/view with different lenses on the M240: 90 Summarit, 50 Lux ASPH and 28 Cron. Kinda wish I had my Canon and 90 TS-E along too, as some of the 90mm shots, even at f/16, were very limited in depth of field..
While processing these, as with the M9, the 28 Cron definitely has a unique/different character compared to my other Leica lenses. It's about a half stop darker, stronger vignetting, even when stopped down, bolder colour too. But I agree that it has a different look/feel when shot on the M240 vs. M9. My guess is it has a lot to do with Leica's flatter out of camera profiling for the M240 and perhaps the profile for the 28 Cron attempts to tame its bolder character and bring it more in line with other Leica glass.
Adam - I guess buying another camera is one solution to Leica's terrible service turnaround. It's partially a motivating factor for me getting the M240 after my M9 was acting up this winter.
Phil, love the street shot. Very nice set with the 35 FLE too
Katie, very nice series of your son! The second portrait shot is great.
Ron, stunning and very graphic set. Very interesting PP'ing too
Adam, frustrating having to purchase another M240. I ended up with two for a similar reason, as I picked up an ex demo model, when the other was in Solms being re calibrated.
Phil, the step looks great.
Katie, your son portrait stand out.
Ron, great set, love the process.
As for 28cron, I don't feel it is very special, but seems complementary with 50lux well. and it is a reliable lens that perform once in need
Phil, very cool selfie
Katie, great photos of your kids (and the cat)
Ron, very strong graphical set. I agree that it would have been great with the dof of the third photo also in the first one.
Michael, stunning landscapes from you with the 28 cron. Love the colors.
