And a few other samples from my M Monochrom archive. Most shot with 35mm f/2.5 Summarit-M, 50mm f/2.0 Summicron-M or 5cm f/1.5 Jupiter 3 (1963, hand-tuned by Brian Sweeney). These are pure monochrome files with no color channels, all filter effects done the old-fashioned way, in front of the lens. Minimal post.
I've had the M Monochrom for about 6 months now and try to take the camera with a single lens, usually the 50 cron or the Jupiter 3 with me every day. The most interesting aspect of using the Monochrom is the need for old-fashioned colored filters as Lightroom's B&W filters don't work on account of the single channel.
We have some of those red berry trees in the Smokies. I guess they are the same thing. Probably elevation related maybe. These that I know of grow at about 5000 feet. nice set.
Edward, now you done went and made me want to visit the Pizza man. Well, at least I had my favorite pasta last night that I fix at home. :-) I just didn't put enough sauce on it. I'll fix that next time. Thanks on the coffee. I missed focus a little bit, I'll get it right soon. :-) Since that's something I drink daily, I will get it right eventually shooting it, but mostly I think about drinking it before it gets cold...
Mike, I just press Alt and scroll my mouse key to change my browser size for a 1600 or whatever size image. I tend to like smaller size matching my screen resolution anyway which is 1920 X 1080, HD format. But sometimes, I Scroll to make things larger.
Asia Fish. your name? I have a hard time calling someone Asia fish. :-) I have almost that same umbrella shot I took once. I'll look it up...
It's nice if people post your name in your signature or with your post if you don't post often, and your username doesn't give a good name to call you easily, so others can get to know you by name.
Thanks Andrew. I no longer own the 35 Cron. Replaced with 35 Lux.
Great work that just kept going and going on review... I love MM results. I've been tempted to try and acquire one. Really close.
But I think I will focus on the new M first. Because I can get 95% plus results from it that I could the mono I think and shoot color with a bit larger file size for prints. Plus I can sell my M9 and recover some. If I got the MM, I'd want to keep my M9. I think I can sell my M9, I really do love that camera though. It's a struggle to know what to do.
M9 conversion of BW using Topaz BW2 trial. I have to say, this one was a win in terms of processing... I shoot this light a lot. . It's just fun to shoot. 50mm Lux ASPH @ (ISO 500, f1.4 1/250 sec)

Beautiful lighting, and of course nothing has smoother bokeh than the 50 Lux ASPH. I'm something of a Sonnar fanatic myself. Despite owning a brand-new 50 Cron and 35 and 90 Summarits, I shoot more with my 50-year-old Jupiter 3 Sonnar-clone than anything else.
