Edward, love those shots with Tele Tesar 85/4 Very nice set with 50 Plannar too. One of my favourite lenses
Ron, love the gentle and subtle colors with the 50 Lux!! The 21 SEM is showing its magic in those shots. Very nice shots with the CV 40!!

nice shot! how do you like M9 so far? Was it worth upgrading from nex7? Just curious, never shot with Nex7
Thanks. The M9 is what I expected. Great build and handling. Fantastic in good light, but a little below average in lowlight, although it is still better than film, and I don't care all that much about low light performance.
The M9 reminds me a little bit of my A900, in terms of output, although the NEX-7 is also fantastic in good light ( and my X100 is fantastic in low light.) The only thing that bothers me about the M9's output is the red blotchiness that can happen in skin when shooting in mixed/tungsten lighting. All in all, I'm happy with the M9's output, despite the sensor not being state of the art. Of course, the lenses are fantastic.
Either way, I bought the M9 because of the method of shooting and handling, and I love it for those reasons. As expected, I'll be selling all of my digital cameras (except for an old NEX-5 for video,) because the M9 is what I've been looking for in terms of the shooting experience. I can't really compare it to the NEX-7, because it is quite a different method of working. Both have their purpose, but I prefer the M9, myself.
Now I just need to buck up and buy a used CFV 39 for my Hasselblads someday, and I'll have just about all that I'd want in terms of handling and IQ for digital.
First, congratulation Joe. a great moment. He is your second?
Ron, enjoy the whole set, with all set of Leica and Zeiss, I am surprised to see you are still using VC lens. I really like the 2nd Bokeh.
Gary, Nice set. you are in different world, here most trees still green.
bruniroquai, that is a brilliant set.
edward, carry a Leica hang around Hermes must be fun . That portrait looks nice.
Ajay, both are great.
Douglas, I echo your reply about file quality, especially low light and mixing light. The color need tweak to get right.
Monochrom baby.. haha, that's a nice one! He's our second child.
Great shots all around from everyone.
Edward, did you ask the store if they could order a Hermes M9 for you? By the way, that first shot of the Hermes store has a nice bag that you could use for the M9? Excellent shots with the ZM50.
Bruno, very strong B&W shots from you and very classic looking. Nice!
Daniel, excellent perspective control with the 12mm. Very nice set.
Gary, excellent set with the ZM35.
Ron, those CV40 shots gives a very classical old school rendering to the still life shots. I sense some Nocti presence in the rendering. Interesting. Love the fall color set with the fire truck! Did you already buy the 21 3.4??
Ajay, think you need to keep drinking in order to use the M9 more! Nice set.
Michael, exellent ZM21 B&W shot from this page.
I'll catch up more with this thread shortly. Need to get some sleep first. Meanwhile, one more pic to share. This was out of focus and also cropped a bit, sorry.
Hanging around Hermes, our faithful partner, may be fun, but there was no free gift for showing up with a Leica Good idea about the bag, Joe, I will check the price next time, might be half the price of a new M9 Titan
Very nice moment you captured there by the way, the baby and doctor expressions are perfectly caught.
Long time no post, things got hectic after I returned from Korea.
Some great photos on here, really really good stuff!
I actually loved Korea, but didn't like taking photos there. Most people shied away from the camera, and were generally unfriendly to me when I lifted the camera to my face (strange reaction, as usually I have a very persuasive smile). On top of that, I stayed mostly in the Gangnam station area, so nothing really to take photos of when you take people out of the equation.
Here are the shots I took, just resized in photoshop with a simple 50% sharpen, +10 saturation to all the photos (so some of the pork may look a little to pink, but honestly my friends and I were commenting on how pink it was in real life).
Mix of shots between the 28cron (least used), 35cron (tied for usage with the lux), 50lux (most keepers), 90cron (a good lens, somewhat hard to focus on moving subjects).
Adam, nice set of pics. Could I ask which shots were taken with the cron90? I'm debating to myself between that lens and the tele-elmarit 90 for my travel kit.
Joe, congratulations again! Wonderful moment and capture))
Michael, very nice set! Love the balance of colour in the last shot
Adam, great to see you back Excellent series.
Jabberwockt, having had both the 90 Elmart, 90 Cron IV and the Cron Asph, the 90 Cron AA is definitely the pick, even for travel. I know the 90 Elmarit is lighter, and very ergonomic for travel, but f/2.8 with the M9, in low light it can be difficult. Maybe with the new M, this may not be an issue with less noise, at higher ISO's.
