Thanks for the comments Ron, Charles, Adam, Michael
Ron, more excellent shots from the soccer celebrations. Great colours and I "see" the girl in the stroller now
telluridestock, very nice shots of the infant and the band with the 50Lux.
Gary, more nice shots with the 28 Elmarit.
Charles, excellent repost of the 28Elmarit B&W shots. Sharp and contrasty lens. The Bali shots are also very nice, the two girls included
Adam, very nice sharp shot with the 28 Elmarit ASPH. Good luck with narrowing down your lens choices to only 4 lenses , not sure about you, but its always difficult for me to part with a Leica lens after trying them out and I have now decided not to try any more new lenses. Echoing what Michael said, the last time I borrowed a 90AA, I ended up buying it, and when I finally sell a lens, I end up buying it back at a higher price later, so the old adage works for me, never sell a Leica lens.
Hilmar, nice shot with the Nocti.
najibs, very nice sets with the CV 35, nice precious moments captured.
Michael, you seem to have the M9 glued to you, taking it everywhere? Nice shot from the "grocery" store!
Reading some of the earlier comments on lens pairing, for me, 28,35 and 50 are what I use most of the time and is my go-to 3 lens kit. Although 28 and 35 are quite close, they are different enough that I need them both. My problem with the 28FL on the rangefinder is the 0.7MFD. Sometimes I can't get close enough to fill the frame and also becasue I wear glasses, its not easy for me to frame to the edges. I find that its easier to compose and fill the scene with either a 35 or 50. 50mm is probably my tele and when I want to isolate the subject(s).
Also agree, the buffer on the M9 can be limiting, but at the same time, this kind of forces us to wait for the "moment" before pressing the shutter rather than spray and pray?
Here's a few night shots with my "tele" lens
