Michael - nice set. Those trees are pretty amazing. Great shots of the kids, particularly the last one
Luka - excellent set! I see you had to take each one of your children for a spin there . I really like the composition of #2 and #5. Were you a main photographer for the rehearsal? You got in extremely close with some of those lenses
Very nice set Ryan and as usual a great shot of your daughter. I do however prefer the rendering of the 75 Lux

I was the only photographer, and actually the only member of the audience During the actual performance I was just seated in the front row and snapped away with the 35 Lux ASPH. After they finished the choreographer (a.k.a my girlfriend) asked me if I wanted to do some stills of the dancer with better light. So I asked the light technician if she could use the blue lights that were used during the show but like a 'million times stronger'. The reply was that she couldn't but she did add some stronger yellow lights. Shots 4-6 were shot in that light and I could use the 28 Cron and ZM 18. I did try some 90 Cron shots as well, but they were blurry due to camera shake.
The next day however there was another photographer, with an X100. Unlike me he moved around a lot on stage and got a bunch of really good shots. I felt it would be kind of stupid to have two photogs running around the dancers so instead I just watched the performance. If you are on facebook you can see his shots here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.3186521496612.141012.1073022208&type=3
The dance performance was at the opening of a large art center in Aarhus in Denmark. Here's a shot from the roof:
BTW, A new review from the same guy. He is a genius. I really love his humor. Look forward for more to come.

Nate, I like the composition.
Contas, that thing is HUGE, very good clarity.
Luka, I like 1 and 2 in your first set. 1 has a powerful composition, I'd like to see it in 2's color and lighting. DOF and light of 2 really make the picture. I like the perspective a lot. Two pictures of 2nd set are almost perfect to me. Not only compose and lighting, I envy your PP skill.
Ryan, How is that 50mm? Your daughter's portrait is beautiful as always.
Almost run out of pictures. Here are some 50lux shots during a family walk around.
From Parking lot (Maybe too much contrast) All wide open. I don't have any other lens have these kind of wide open performance.
Contas: nice bike!
Luka: enjoyed the dance series. First two are my favorite. Although the last is nice too, is there any detail to be brought out in the dress? The shots from outside are great, the last one makes me think that the child is stuck to a wall!
Ryan: nice portrait with the Hexanon and great series with the 75. All are very nice, my favorite is the last one. Your shots make me want to visit Savannah again; I was there many years ago and remember it being beautiful.
Ryan, really nice series! Always love the shots of your daughter But I do prefer the 75 Lux shots.
Luka, great abstract compositions!
Michael, nice set! 50 Lux is an amazing lens Love the shot of your son.

Not really, the noise banding is too bad. It was shot at ISO 1250, I pushed it about 2.5 stops in post, so we're talking ISO 6400 - way beyond what the M9 can really handle. I'm afraid the images are only good for web sized shots.
A few more dance shots, this time in daylight. All 35 Lux ASPH except the last one which is 50 Lux ASPH. They have been extremely processed in Photoshop - and not just corrective processing. I've never done something like this before with layer masks, lens blur, flare etc.. so it's all sort of experimental.
Just to give you an idea of how much these images have been modified, here's the original for the last shot:
All of the original images were problematic because of three things:
1) The dancers moved so quickly I did not have time to frame them adequately, much less come up with an interesting composition
2) There were people all over the place messing up the images, making them cluttered
3) It was shot in strong sunlight so I could not shoot at a wide aperture to get a good isolation (I had no ND filter). Not that I think I could have focused that accurately at f/1.4 on moving subjects.
I still wanted to have some sort of usable photos, so I decided to forget about any documentary quality and try some heavy handed photoshopping to make them more aesthetically appealing. It did take quite a long time (perhaps 30 minutes per image or so),
Ryan, nice first set, but I love the second set with the 24 Elmar!! Very nice
Luka, really like #1 and 2! #2 is my favourite. Yes the ND is invaluable. I now always have one with me, for the 50 and 75 Lux, particularly with our harsh lighting in Oz
Lot's of great images in the last few pages.... Charles's models and monks, Hilmar, Nate, Michael - love the umbrellas and columns as well as the gnarled tree. Ryan the last image of the brick walls and doors is fabulous. Luka, interesting dance photos, but my favorites are the two of the exterior of the building, particularly the placement of the people in the second image. Andrew, nice to see the Hamilton photos, I will get around to PPing more from our walk, hopefully soon...
Regarding the purple fringing in Charles's car photo - same issue with the 21 Lux. I think stopping down a bit might resolve it, at least it does with the CV35 f/1.2.
Here are a bunch just catching the sun on the wall right before it went under...
Luka, I like the compose of 2nd one. The PP looks nice but surreal. Very interesting experiment.
Ryan, I like your 2nd set a lot. My favorite is last one.
contas, Elmarit seems have very good sharpness and clarity.
Kelly, That is a nice composition.
Ron, All images have very interesting lighting. I like the #1 and #5 the best.
Charles, I like the first one a lot for the DOF control giving a nice perspective.

Michael: Very nice pictures once more - I like both of them, regarding content, composition and B&W conversion. But first and foremost I want to congratulate you on a truly rare gift: the pictures of your children are really oustanding, by far not only nice for the familiy album, but they are well composed and in particular show the personality of your children as well as different aspects of childhood in general. As aforesaid, that's absolutely rare and highly admirable.
Michael: Even though I have to repeat my vote: You really, really have a knack for taking pictures of your children being far more than family pictures, great!

Ahahahahaaaa. #hilarious.
I agree this is genius. "This knob here with the numbers 4 8 11 16, they skip some in the middle, with only one stop between 11 and 16." I almost fell out of my chair.
