Steve, thanks The 24 Lux is now one of my best friends!
Amazing set of shots again, love the haunting nature of #2.
Seekah, there is no question in my mind of keeping the 28 Cron, just too good of a lens
Martin, very nice shots!! I love the sharpness and roll off with the 28.
Gary, nice shots! Like your friend.

corposant, i really like the look of your film shots - do you find the 50 cron having flare issues in bright conditions? I seem to get a bright central 'disc' in strong light.
Thanks KL - yes, I do get that with the 50 Cron. I believe it's called 'veiling flare' and that's attributable to the Mandler design (or something like that - I don't understand all the science). Look at the picture below - are we talking about the same thing?
Yes, that's exactly the same 'disc' like flare in the center, that I see occassionally. Yup, i believe l read that it was called the 'veiling flare'. Where do you get your negs scanned? they are marvellously done and of course the photos are great too.

Thank you! If I am impatient, I'll take to a local discount chain and they can develop and scan (low resolution) C-41 film for $5/roll. Otherwise, it's sent out to NCPS or Precision (or RPL for B&W).
I recently tried NCPS - they are marvellous! But alas, they managed to ruin 2 rolls of Tri-X (human error). So my faith (what little there is to begin with) is a little shaken.

Shots this afternoon with the 24 Lux. One portrait shot for Seekah, at MFD @1.4
Wow, that is terrific. Thank you for the portrait shot, absolutely stunning. The lens and your photographic skills are superb. Love to have this lens but I guess I can't justify it without selling the 28 cron and getting over the 21 SE... Tough decision because my dealer has a Summilux 24 in his shop available which I could pick up.
Today is my M9 anniversary - I've had it for exactly one year. So I thought I'd post something a bit different - I've picked one of my favorite shots that I've posted for each month of that year.
