It's a long time since I posted in this thread, but now I've got myself an M8 again. This time I use a Summicron 28/2.
I'm having a hard time getting rid of a cyan cast even without UV/IR filter. Probably I need to build a profile in ACR for the camera.
Anyway, here are some shots from yesterday and today.

Martin, is the 6-bit coding stuff all turned on? That lens shouldn't give a cast with that camera.
Nope, it's all turned off, because I don't want the camera to correct the vignetting. It doesn't matter much in daylight, but at ISO 640 and above, the correction just ruins the corners with terrible noise.
Well, I think you'll have to either add the vignetting manually, or correct the cyan manually. Both are corrected by that stuff. I agree that ISO 640 is iffy with the M8. I generally shoot (or more accurately: shot) at ISO 160 and sometimes 320.
Martin, nice shots - I really like the expressive colors. I think you may want to revise your resize & sharpen method though to suit the M8 - the aliasing in #1 is atrocious!
Charles, very nice beach set. I'm glad you are enjoying the 24 Lux. Do you use an external viewfinder with it?

I have not been out shooting lately, but I've been going through old, previously undeveloped photos. Here are some from my Norway (Lofoten) trip:
Thanks Luka Great set as usual, but #1 is stunning in simplicity and composition.
Yes the 24 Lux is a brilliant lens. I am finding the colours are so saturated, that I have to reduce the sat in PP'ing, somewhat similar to the 28 Cron. I do use the cheaper CV 21/25 finder which is great, but for most daylight stuff, just set it at f/5.6 or 8, and just use the modified hyperfocal focus, and P&S with the CV finder. I do like the fact that the CV has the provision for 21 also, so it is possible to move and frame outside the POV. In reality, there is no need for the finder, so this was the reason, I opted for the 24 rather the 21. For travel, I can swap lenses without the finder and still take shots.
Damn Luka, you're killing these landscapes. The sharpest images I have ever had the privilege of admiring and you're so consisten too. I remember to have seen a description of your sharpening workflow, I hope I can find it somewhere in my bookmarks.
I very much regret having sold the 24Lux earlier this year. Kicking myself over it.
@ Charles:
Thank you for posting some photos in color. The first two images are just incredible. Number 2 has a superb composition. Absolutely awesome. The lens matches your photographic skills. I'm excited to see more photos coming.
@ denoir (Luka??):
The first two shots are outstanding. I like the distinguished sky in the first picture.
I just realized that my 28/2 isn't coded, and there's no option of manually choose lens to correct on the M8. So I'm screwed anyway if I don't code the lens.
Obviously there's some correction of the corners even without lens correction, because they are much noisier than the middle of the image at high ISO:s.
Luka, the masterful comps & processing are once again mouth watering delicious! 1 & 3...Outstanding! Add 2 to that also! ; - )
Charles, the color set begs the question which do i prefer? You know where i would generally lean but i like the color beach shots a tad better. It could also be that the weather is getting colder & winter is around the corner, and that's pulling me back to the colorful warmth of Summer. The second Landscape set is so Beautiful! Numbers 1 & 2 are Wall Hangers for
