Wow Charles! I'm going to try that P&S thing real soon. Great shots of a lovely couple.
Corposant - great hues and scenes. Morpheus, those Velvia shots are lovely - makes me wanna run out and buy some Velvia film right away. I didn't really like the Ektar and Potra colour that I last tested on my M2.
KL, thanks Yes, the P&S mode is fun!! I would think the best lens would be the 28 Elmarit, as it is a tiny lens, but hard to beat the 28 Cron for rendering.
Corposant, beautiful lighting
The M10 will just need a flip out screen with live view and it will be the perfect point and shoot.
(Just to be clear, I mean that as a joke, since a flip out screen will certainly add thickness to the body.. and given Leica's QC track record, the fewer moving parts, the better)
Nice images Charles, nowherean, Heinz and corposant.
LL, nice shot with the 50Lux ASPH.
nowherean, welcome to the thread! Nice set. #1 and #4 are my favorites. Love the expressions on #1.
Heinz, nice colors with the Velvia 50. The playground Ektar shot is excellent, just enough separation with the people and background using the 90/4! Even at f/4, I can see the Leica rendering/signature.
Charles, very expensive P&S indeed Nice set. Love the 1st shot!
Corposant, very nice shot with the biker and sunset!

Thank you Joe! Off course I have seen this Vietnam picture before, it was going through the press all over the world and I am old enough to have seen it . But I did not know that it was taken with a M2. BTW, where is this M2 displayed?
Heinz
Heinz, the M2 is at display in the Newseum Washington DC. Its a museum dedicated to journalism and news. http://www.newseum.org/
BTW, I would love to take credit for the piano shot but the B&W set with the piano shot was taken by KL, not me.

This 2 pics might look familiar to Heinz and Carsten
Part of the Berlin wall on display at the Newseum Washington DC
Thanks Joe - I never remember Reagan National looking so nice, but then I've only ever transited there... very nice feel to the last two. I also like the aggressive PP to the second image of the wall - very appropriate.
Speaking of news...
Some grab shots from work at the newspaper today... just trying out the CV15 and ZM21 with the new firmware. I gave in and recoded the CV15 to the 21 non-ASPH (instead of Tri-Elmar) since that code suits the 15 much better. Now with the new firmware the ZM21 needs absolutely no cornerfix, so it will be visually obvious which is the 15 and 21, since the 15 still exhibits a pink/magenta shift along the left side, visible in the first image below:
M9 & CV15 for the first two, ZM21 for the last image.
Ron and Joe, thanks Yes, hopefully the M10 makes for an excellent P&S too
Joe, excellent shots!!! Love the colours and PP'ing. My favourite is #4
Ron, cool shots!! Great example of the magenta edge, and how it is fixed for the ZM 21. I was hanging out for the ZM 21, but I will now wait patiently for the 21 super elmar, and sell some more gear off to fund this !!
Ron, very nice shots! I really could do without the shots of BBQ having had a small lunch Neat compositions and excellent PP'ing. The SEM 21 would be great for landscapes/seascapes. IMO you really don't need fast lens at the expense of weight and size for what maybe a superb lens to own.
Jqberry, very nice set of shots, in particular the last shot. Great use of the CV 35/1.2 and the M8 Excellent video! It is neat to be able to relate to the shoot, as it is gives a much difference perspective on the shots!
Carsten, wow... I didn't realise what a strong contingent we have!
Apparently this is the largest display of an unaltered stretch of the Berlin wall outside Germany. Not shown in my pics, but there was also a complete tower behind these walls.

Ron, nice and delicious BBQ set from the weekend! Love the angle from the 2nd bench shot. Hope you didn't have to work long on a Sunday? Bummer the red edge on the CV15 is still there but at least the ZM21 files looks good. I want to see some samples of the 21SE-M. A used 21Elmarit ASPH, although larger, can be had for less than a new 21SE.
Jberry, nice set and pretty girls
Daniel, welcome back! The 2nd shot is really nice. Lots of ship wrecks in your area huh or were they planted there?

Thanks! From what I recall, the performance of the 21 ASPH isn't much different from the ZM21. For the price difference, I'd just get the Zeiss. Where the SEM 21 appeals to me is size and also performance at f/5.6 and wider. It's sharper into the corners than the Zeiss, at least based on the specs... I'm also awaiting real world samples.

Daniel, yes welcome back! Very nice shots. My fav is #2.
Corposant, nice shot!
