In a friends antique restoration workshop I photographed this collection of vintage keys. Many years ago his family began making locks and keys for doors and cabinets. This of course predated electricity so alarming was not possible. . The speciality of hes bespoke locks was that they contained hidden mechanical bells that would sound when the lock was opened with the key, or the door was opened in another way. They worked amazingly well. He still services them today.

Wow! Hope everyone came out there safely before the fire took over.
I should have clarified when I posted the fire pictures. The house that burned down was under construction. Maybe only a quarter completed. Just the rough framing, roof sheeting etc. If you look closely you can see those details.
Last weekend we took a short trip to Firenze for a Leica event and my Wife's birthday. Here sjust a few of many images from a couple of street sessions.
