Thanks! The M7 has very heavy center weighted metering - like the M6 and MP - and I just center the vf to what I want metered, half press the shutter button to get AE lock, recompose and shoot.
So with the signs I centered on those, AE lock, recomposed.
Of course if I had it in manual mode, I would do that but with no need for AE lock as the exposure would be set - just as if I was using an M5/6/P. The AE lock just makes the 7 so quick to use, and most of the time you don’t even need to use it....Show more →
Took my 16 year son and his friends to a Deftones concert-
I took my non-deteahacble lens camera (m11m w 35 cron) into the show and got in the mix. Probably not everyones cup of tea but had a great time experiencing the madness on the floor of a hard rock show. Some of these shots are up to 200K in ISO
Also my kids all had a seat- I was the only dumb ass on the floor

Really love doing this "slice of life" type photography with the Q3 43. With the extra reach you don't have to get up in people's faces to get the authentic moment.
Taken in and around Japan Town in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Actually, would love to hear some people's thoughts on cropping. It's something I'm figuring out but I don't think I'm always picking the right aspect ratio, the right focal point of the shot, etc.
Here are the same above shots right off the camera. Would love to hear from people on how you'd approach cropping if at all.
