Thanks. Yeah, I didn't look up tech specs just did testing of my own. This is on film which is probably more forgiving than digital. Here is one at f/8 @ .45m. Really I just wanted to see how well it could be used as a snapshot lens held low to the ground and focused closely if stopped down.

Yes, it's quite big for a rangefinder lens. But strangely it's smoother and faster to focus than the 28 lux even though both have a floating element. I don’t fully understand why. I’ve had about 5 copies (I know, don’t judge) of the 28 and they’ve all been the same. It's a shame it doesn't have front filter threads like the 28 though.

Just a guesstimate currently. On my .58 M7 (the best viewfinder for wide angles!) it's pretty much the entire viewfinder without having to look toward the extreme edges. On my M10-D and .72 M7 I have to look at the extreme edges and definitely have to guess more. If I was using it for landscape, architecture tripod work etc, I'll plan to use an external finder or live view.

Would you consider the 24 2.8 Elmarit? It is one lens I will never part with and Irwin Puts said it was one of the finest lenses Leica ever made. A really nice one can be had with hood for around 2K. I paid a lot less than that but that was 10 years or so ago.
Some social media friendly verticals from day 1 in Hanoi. SOOC with some cropping, editing will have to wait until I get home but I'm pretty pleased with the SOOC jpg's on the Q3 43.
