I own both lenses! Since I have the f/1.2, the f/1.4 sits around. It took me three attempts to find a good copy of the f/1.2. The first one was misaligned with its aperture ring (widest open at f-number 2.8 instead of 1.2), the second copy had a reversed lens element for close focus but unable to focus at infinity. The third one was finally the keeper lens. Thank you so much for that link! Acquired! Fingers crossed it’s in decent shape. I needed another 50 like a hole in the head, but oh well. I find myself using the Japanese Lux, 50 Summarit 1.5 and 50 Rigid much more than 50 Lux. Looking forward to see what this lens offers. Thanks again.

It is insane, I spent a few hours this afternoon shooting family and the background character is just wow !! I will say that it keeps growing on me everytime I use it. I am also used to a more of "clinical" or "light vintage" approach, but this 35 SSR is just on a different planet

Those colors... Just like the M9. I know people say the Leica CCD is Kodachrome-like, but as a guy who spent years shooting Ektachrome 100, I think it's more Ektachrome-like.
In my recent Chinatown post, two of the shots were with the M9, and after looking at your very cool shots, I can see how the M8 and M9 are definitely more like siblings than like cousins.

Thank you, Bruce. I agree. It’s a lot of fun to shoot. For whatever reason, I find I’m much more intentional when I shoot with it. I love it for B&W, but I only sought color on this gloomy day.
