Ah yes, I remember looking it up some time ago. Thanks.
As for the odd behavior of the swans, I'm guessing it has to do with the weather. The ice disappeared last week - almost a month later than normal - and I'm guessing that there's not enough food yet for them. I know the promiscuousness of ducks is directly proportional to the food supply. In winter large groups of ducks will ambush people walking by:
In spring they become more passive and in summer they keep away from people. My guess is that the swans will go back to their usual obnoxious selves once there is enough vegetation for them to eat.
Charles, those landscapes with the 28Cron a few pages back are beautiful, love the details on the clouds and water!
Luka, love that composition with the 75Cron on that tree trunk shot. Also like the last shot of the "lunatic set". Finally additional points for swans!
KL, very nice light on that 50Lux shot of the marina and buildings.
Ryan, nice work with the 90 Elmarit on the cemetary statues! Want to sell me your 90 Elmarit?
Shaun, welcome back. Nice shot with the 50 Noct. Rendering on that mask shot is beautiful. Did you buy another M8?
Julian, congrats on your first M9 attempt. Lots of details on that ZM35 shot.
Ron, love that bus stop composition at Lausanne. Again, your color pp is really nice and consistent. Love it!

A color test shot to get my money's worth on this lens (as Luka advised). Shooting garbage (pun intended)
50 Lux ASPH
I haven't had much of a chance to take any meaningful shots recently - but here are a few samples with the M9 and 21mm all taken wide open at f/1.4.
This is a beautiful lens which I am enjoying a lot. Its very different to use this than standard and telephotos (obviously ). One thing about it is its very hard to get bokeh out of it, but rather its weird because at 1.4 it is very very sharp across the frame, which i'm not used to with large aperture lenses.. Technically its perfect lens as far as i'm concerned asides from the minor distortion which is very excusable.
The web sized images don't do much justice, because when u zoom in 100% all the details are so sharp its cool.
Below pics were taken at the Arclight theatre in Hollywood.
Lovinglife, very nice set of shots! So often we talk of sharpness, but the sharpness without doubt is there, but it is way the lens paints the scene that I really do like
Charles, great B/W. Splendid use of contrats in the shot
Joe, it is unusual to see garbage from you, especially in color! By the way, no additional points for swans on my part I'm afraid. Only ducks count.
Lovinglife, interesting shots with the 21 Lux.
KL, excellent composition with the guy in the foreground and the perspective of the ceiling adding depth. The woman looking at the newspaper stand and the headline are the cherry on top. In short, just excellent
Malkovic, nice set. I really like the vertical segmentation of the first shot by the flagpoles.
Wow...moving fast over the weekend. Charles, Joe, Luka, lovinglife, KL, Malkovic and anyone else...great work!
Charles - these 28 Cron shots I'm seeing you post are excellent!
Luka - really like the night shots. I did some night shooting this weekend and did not come away impressed. It is difficult. That is one area where a DSLR wins in my book. Night landscapes....
^^
Denoir, nice low light shots with the Lux 35.
Ryan, love the processing on your images from Bonaventure.
Loving, I'll take any Lux lens in desperation to have one!
I finally figured out how to frame with the 90 Summarit today. Hehe! I can see why Leica glass is so special in it's rendering. Ugh! For now I can live vicariously through everyone till I can get my hands on a Summilux and Summicron!
P.S. Don't mind the EXIF. I have the lens setting set to manual and forgot to change it in camera. Even though it's a Canon, it was something to practice on.
