I have traveled all over the world and have seen some strange things, but witnessing a Balut eating contest at a local Philippines Festival took disgusting to an entirely new level for me. I was sure I would be the one throwing up on the stage and not the contestants.

Balut, haven't heard that word for a long while ... although, my preference when in PI was "monkey meat".

We would leave a US Air Base in Panama, Central America and see vendors along side the road selling Monkey Meat some with it draped over one arm..

I had to look up what balut is. I wish I didn’t!

3rd pic - the girl in the middle has a weird circular blurry patch on her arm. Did you clone out a tatoo?

This post ruined my traditional soft boiled egg Sunday breakfast. Balut has to be one of the nastiest foods humans ever came up with.

Huss I think I clicked the band aid tool by accident and didn't catch it before clicking the image.. My bad.. Corrected

That second image you can see duck parts sticking out... WTF..

Vendors with baskets of balut in Olongapo PI used to walk up and down the streets selling it. I can here it now BAAAAAALUUUUT. ha ha. After a bunch of Sam Magoos (San Miguel's) one might be tempted to try it. Ahhh that liquid courage.
