I'll have to do that sometime. The one huge, obvious difference is the way they handle flare.
The 40 Cron, to put it mildly, is pretty awful AND haphazard.
The Rollei is absolutely superb.
These are heavily back/side lit shots w the 10r and Rollei. And this is with a B+W filter on the lens! This would if anything makes flare conditions worse.
These pics would have been flared/blown out if taken with my 40 Cron.

+1 for the flare of the 40 Cron. I've got a filter ring (step adapter for that odd size thread) without glass on mine as a "mini" lens-hood.
It works pretty well ... even to the point that I was TRYING to induce that Max Flare the other day, and could only get a smaller amount than I wanted to reveal. Then, I realized I'd need to remove my "mini" hood to get max flare.

Fully agree about the flare resistance of the Rollei Sonnar 40/2.8 ltm lens compared with Summicrion 40/2. I also find that the Rollei's color rendering is a bit more saturated.
