Thank you Philippe! Yes I am well aware the Paul' royalties due I have been trying to avoid the "bench shot", but I thought it may be more the esoteric type
Charles - excellent bench shot. I love what you did there
Rod - it looks like you went out at the peak 12:00 hour to take the railroad picture but I think it is about as good as can be with the lighting, congrats. The pic portrays 110 degrees....and I'm sure it felt like it
Rod, Charles, thanks! Yes, its difficult to get clean shots with the M8 at iso 2500.. I normally try to shoot more than one frame to avoid motion blur .. fortunately LR3 helps out a little bit ..
Ryan, I like the rendering of your 35/1.4 Nokton pics, seems very sharp to me and has the classical feeling. So tempting to get one and try
Rod and Charles, both of you seem to be having fun with the 50Lux. Keep the pics coming ..
Thrice, nice one with the 75Cron. Your pics from the earlier threads are amazing!
Rod, nice 90Cron shots. Did you use a viewfinder magnifier? Its very difficult for me to focus my 90 Tele-E on the M8 wide open.
Thanks Joe. No I didn't. I've got one but I find I focus as well or better without it. On those shots, I was focused at infinity or the hyper focal distance and I was stopped down to f/8 - f/11.
Thanks Charles. I either need to get closer though or have a longer lens. Getting closer is tricky since that would put me in the middle of the street. There wasn't much traffic but I had to wait for them to clear several times before I could shoot. I'm going to go back and take another look.
Here's one more from me with M8 and 35CronIV, no where close to Robert Frank but I was actually inspired by his Elevator Miami Beach to have my camera ready when I get near an elevator. Now to go find some jukeboxes in Boston ..
Thanks Charles & Rod. Although I enjoy shooting RF very much, I don't think I could have framed #2 without a digital RF and LCD. Sometimes I do miss the ground glass framing accuracy.
