I just remembered I have a Lomo Petzval 58 1.9 bokeh control lens. I used it for a project several years ago and since forgot about it. It actually can create some really unique results. The thing about Petzval lenses is they are only sharp in the middle, and so are designed for your subject to be centrally placed.
The bokeh control dial goes from 1 (minimum/none) to 7 (max). Because I was having fun reacquainting myself w it, these were taken at max smear setting of 7. (and subject matter I've snapped before but I was walking Daisy)

All the above at the 7 max setting. The following two - first one at 7, second one at 4 which is my default setting for Petzval pics - it introduces just enough distortion to make it interesting IMO w/o being crazy! This is the setting I've used for portraits.
In use the lens is big and heavy (being a solid brass chunk), flares like a sunsabeach, the focus throw is ridiculously short so it is not a quick lens to use, and it uses Waterman drop in aperture disks. These pics all were with the 1.9 aperture disk.
I'm looking forward to using this a lot more, but one huge issue is it attracts attention!
