This is a pure beauty. It is so rare to see artful wildlife photos... let alone one taken with an M-series camera. The shot is very inspiring to me. I recently purchased a used SL to compliment my Nikon "power system." As someone who shoots wildlife with an eye towards minimalism, I bought the SL as a way to force constraints on those days when I wanted to get out of a rut. This image is the type of work that falls in line with the type of work I am trying to make.

Thanks a lot Bruce, kind words! I've been more interested in that sort of wildlife lately too, wildscapes! I certainly use the M as my rut extraction device, it changes everything as I'm sure the SL does for you. Here is another from the same night, I was lucky to be handed a few nice setups. I blew the highlights on this one but I don't think it matters much as there's nothing really there anyway.

Actual sky, though I was surprised to see it. I have not been very active with photography for a long time and was just messing around with Lightroom. I found the super easy one button to mask the sky, and then started playing with the dehaze function and got excited.
