Credit where credit is due. This image was inspired by an image that I really loved posted a couple of days ago in this thread by Huss. Yesterday, I was driving to a Dentist appointment, saw this scene and was immediately reminded of Huss's image. So i pulled over and composed this image.
Inspired by, and similar in many color, and compositional elements. But, hopefully unique enough to still be mine, and not a copy.
It is why we share, and how we learn. Thanks Huss!
Steve
Excellent!
I remember Steve when he was but a simple Sony shooter. Look at him now, all grown up.
Days before Easter a large number of believers start walking long distances, some from as far away as Albuquerque, to the Santuario de Chimayó, a popular pilgrimage site. Whenever possible they are routed off multi-lane highways. Here is such a sign.
I stopped by one of the Art Galleries in the Village after teaching class today. Spent some time visiting with Jeff, whose Wife runs the gallery. He is a musician and actor, easy going, gentle, and a joy to visit with. He allowed me to take an informal portrait of him. Below is a color and monchrome portrait. Enjoy.

M_Wales, I love everything about the surfer shot! The colors, the composition, and the details all work to catch my eye in a very good way!
Nice shot
