Super portrait! Love the pose.
Thanks Huss.
I wish I could say I was good at posing portraits so this was fully planned. The truth is that it was an outdoor bar area in really strong, harsh light. So I put her in the open shade but there was still too much contrast for my liking. I wanted to use the reflection off the light colored stone bar top. This pose was an attempt to get face close enough to the counter to fill the shadows the way I wanted. The hands under the face was a way to get her to hold her head still enough for me to get good manual focus on her eyes with the 75mm, at f/2, and close to minimum focus distance. Very narrow DOF. As you can see just enough to get the tip of her nose and barely the eye. I wasn't that good at the range finder yet, so needed the help. It all worked out in the end somehow, and she loved her portrait.
