Thank Ryan The 75 Lux, is an amazing lens. I am still on the steep learning curve how to properly use this Lux
Excellent shots, particularly the first two!
Sorry all, have been busy. Will try to catch up later this week.
From the previous page, nice test shots Luka and Doug!
Charles, nice shots with the 75Lux, this looks like an extended trip to Thailand for you?
Joshua, great shots from Venice!
Phil, nice B&W series, like the mood and grain on these.
Ryan, nice series of your family! Also like the flower shots. I can see that you are definitely having fun with the M8.2. No 35Lux shots yet?

So to get back on track, here's one from yesterday. M9 50CronV3.
When I was downloading this picture to the computer, I browsed through a copy of Magnum degree photo-book borrowed from the library and I guess we are not the only ones taking duck pics at FM. Check this link out
Joe very nice duck set! Yes, didn't you know - it was HCB who started the duck tradition. Each time he got a new piece of kit he went out and took pictures of Parisian ducks. He called it his "only superstition"
Joakim, nice set! You managed to really capture an absurd moment there with the snow.
..
I'm still waiting to get my M9 back. They promised to send it tomorrow. In theory, I stress, in theory I could have it by Wednesday. On Thursday it will be too late as I'm off to Norway. Lesson learned: express service is not really express service. What was supposed to be two work days are now over a week. Don't believe what they promise on the Leica website.
Thanks Luka Do hope you get your M9 back in time!! I would call them and let them know, just how important it is for your trip. I feel your frustration, as a few months ago, on a previous trip to Thailand, I had my M9 in Melbourne, being re calibrated, and still having the 5DII, I really did not want to lug aroung the 5DII/lenses. Fortunately my M9 arrived the morning before I left
Kyle, nice shot. Very nice rendering
Nice portraits Charles again, do you just take those portraits? Or do you ask?
Nice variety Ryan really liking those B and W renderings
Nice Joe love those B and W's! love the landscape stuff
Very nice joakim love the darkness and contrast of these, very moody like to my eyes
Nice tea shot Kyle, is it decaf?
Joe how do you like that 50 cron? I love mine to bits, it's my go to lens for the regular stuff
I love my 50Cron. Such a great lens, classic Mandler DG rendering. I'll probably get another one, the latest version with built-in hood if I can find a good deal on a used one.
Thanks Charles, I hope so too. I'm surprised how disappointed I was when I realized that there was a possibility that I wouldn't have it for the trip. According to my own theories the 5DII should be more suitable for the type of photography I'm likely to do (landscape). I guess I've gotten used to the M9
Thanks Joe, and nice shot although I think technically that's a goose and not a duck
Kyle, nice shot. Interesting to see the Sonnar used with film.
A few remnants from the construction set with 90 Cron V3:
Thanks Luka, yes I agree, technically its not a duck. There are probably 10 geese to a duck where I live, so I have to make do with what I can find. Excellent shots with #2 & 3. You are an antithesis to my B&W work with all these wonderful color shots! Hope your M9 comes back soon.
Phil, the second shot is excellent! Nice B&W tones. Which version of the lens do you have?
Joe

Alright, found one with a duck. 50CronV3, this is probably f/5.6 or f/8
Tx for the kind words Charles! I added lens details to the title. Pity about the rainy season - but nothing a shower cap won't help to allay the fears of venturing out without a weathersealed camera!
