Yesterday was an amazing day. I had a surgical follow up visit with the Doctor who worked on my right leg. She had said at the last visit two weeks ago that if all looked good she might give me a new brace and allow up to 30 degrees of movement when sitting. Well she found that my healing is well ahead of expectations. She gave me double that movement, permission to walk unlimited on it when the brace is locked straight, and is now allowing Physical Therapy to start.
I arrived loaded flat in the back of am SUV. I left sitting upright in the passenger seat. More, my Wife and I went for a slow walk in my walker around La Jolla Cove, followed by dinner dinner at an outdoor restaurant. The next stage of healing has begun.
I still have six months to go with one more major surgery on my left leg and all the rehab on both. But I am mobile and able to get out of bed, and out of the house.
I did take my Leica on my first walk and shot a few images just to show myself I could.
I haven't been able to process the images I have been taking.
My graphic's card died Saturday, but Newegg came through with fast delivery on the new one. Pulled my most recent custom water loop out and just going to run on air for the first time in 19 years.
This family had another pair of large dragon's in the same location, but a couple of month's ago a someone destroyed them and these are the replacements.

I like the chains so it doesn't 'fly' away, . But what is it with people destroying others' property? No respect... Unfortunately that's nothing new and seems to be human nature.
A few more from Pinery Provincial Park. The photos on the previous page were made around 7PM. These were after 8pm just before sunset. I was drawn to how the sunlight reflected off the grass. Unfortunately this quality of light is so fleeting!
