The first shot was taken from a pano made with horizontal shots with the end result being square. This is a vertical 16:9 crop from that square, and the image dimensions are still 17"x30" at 300dpi.
@highdesertmesa, hope you enjoy your Summilux-M 35 pre-ASPH. The lens is also extremely sharp with very nice color for f-stop over f/2.8. I took mine for a morning walk today with my M9.
Although previously I’ve posted only a B&W version, I like the colors of this image. With no street lights in the road, the only light is from the fluorescent lights in this restaurant. A cineaste friend told me that there are handheld fluorescent lights for filming (Kino Flo) to allow use of this type of light.
I was out at our local steam engine and farm equipment museum on Saturday for their bi-annual demonstration day. It is an amazing place. Hopefully, I got some good images. Unfortunately I had an accident. I am currently unable to walk, stand, or even sit. They are trying to decide how to put Humpty back together again.
They are keeping me pretty well sedated. I am greatful for that. When I am awake it is very painful. It looks like the camera survived without a scratch. I did my best to gently toss it onto a grassy spot on the way down.
I just wanted to let everyone know that I probably won't be posting pictures much utill I ca at least sit. My enthusiasm for photography has not diminished. I will be limited to my smart phone until I can get access to my editing computer.
