Today's outing took me down to the Boardwalk along the beach between Pacific Beach, and Mission Beach here in San Diego. Lots of interesting people and activities. I stopped to talk to a guy who was selling crystals, and jewelry. This amazing young artist/jewelry maker was in the booth next to his. I loved here look so asked to take a portrait.
These impromptu street portraits are always a challenge to get decent light and control the background. In this case I had here sit on a planter in the shade under a palm tree. This provided open shade as the main source. There was a concrete wall behind me that provide a bit of fill. The background was busy and in full Sun, so I underexposed to minimize it. It all worked Ok I guess.
I am still really impressed on how the Leica renders skin tones. This a very accurate and the color in this image is just the Leica M10-P Light Room profile with no other color adjustment.
Man I just keep coming back to this image. WOW. Has a kinda Costa Manos/Alex Web vibe but it is a totally Jonathon image. Keep up the amazing work my friend.
