Post #7 - Midnight Sun and the following morning off of Barrow, Alaska. AKA 'The Top of the World'
I took a walk along the Sea Bluffs here in La Jolla this afternoon. It is Spring, the flowers are blooming, and we have our annual "May Grey & June Gloom" costal clouds. The Pelicans and Cormorants are finished with the hatching season, the seals and Sea Lions are having pups. The Ocean swell has shifted to the South so the sand is returning to the beaches. They say we don't have seasons here in San Diego. But we do. We have great weather and even better weather seasons. The changes can be subtle, but we locals know them well.
I came across this artist painting the scene. So took a couple of images. I am blessed to live with so much beauty around me every day.

View over the river in Seville and on the right the most controversial building in the city, the 43 story Torre Pelli, the first ever skyscraper in Andalusia. It's either a marvel of cutting edge design or a monstrosity, and nearly cost the city it's UNESCO status. There are of course great views from the top floor.

Very first shot ever with a new to me Summicron Asph 28 v2.
I picked this lens over the new Voigtlander 28 ultron because of the haptics/the way it handles. It really is perfect. The exact right size, everything looks just right, everything feels perfect, it will make me want to use it.
There is nothing about its design that makes me think "I wish they did this instead".
