This is a typical Swakopmund house, with typical Swakopmund morning winter weather. Misty and wet. Raked dirt sidewalks and salt roads. We have one of the highest rust factors in the world. Everything rusts here.
Last summer I brought my M6 and Collapsible Summicron, along with a bunch of Kodak Tmax 400 for a four week trip to the Arctic aboard the light icebreaker CCGS Sir Wilfrid Laurier. We left Victoria, BC early July and ended in Kugluktuk, Nunavut in early August. I'd like to share some of the shots I got over the next few posts, and I'll try to keep them in sequential order.

The 75 Lux has been on my radar for a while, Fred. I know that the three versions are optically identical but am tempted to hold out for a v3 (the v2 also has a built-in hood but is a little heavier).
I have been driving past this for the past 8 years that I have lived here and always told myself I wanted to stop and photograph it and today my wife reminded me.
Looks like one day they just locked the door and walked away since all the equipment is still in place.

Yes, v3 is a little lighter (about 35g) while v1 is way lighter. However, from the images I've seen, the v1's bokeh balls seem to have more severe cats eye shape. (higher optical vignetting)
