50 Lux from the B&S board arrived today. Walking past the kitchen to go outside to do Fred's decentering test and snapped this real quick of my wife making a sandwich. Lens passed the test of course. Picture is nothing special, but love the images these tiny lenses create! Was also nice to finally have the correct lens in Lightroom without changing the exif.

Thank you! The summilux’s have a very nice look to them wide open. My wife called the 50 a very cute lens haha. Especially compared to the 50 Summilux SL I used to have. I think that was about 6x the size if not more.

I default use it on 50APO to knock down some contrast. I love the effect, especially at night with light bulb or back light condition. I also have black satin for portrait. For generic use, I think BPM is better as it only has minimal penalty on sharpness.
You can google search tiffen diffusion triangle for the subtle difference. I bought black satin mainly because Queen’s Gambit use it for the whole series with Zeiss glasses. I love that effect.
I also own a black Satin and know the triangle you're talking about I did not know it's used with Zeiss on Queen's Gambit--though that makes total sense having watched it. My 1/8 BPM is defaulted to my Sigma 35i as well--just to soften and smooth a bit like your APO.

I have a Summilux-M 50mm ASPH, too, but you composed and made the shot, at a perfect, lovely moment in time. Her lovely hands, with the beautiful symbol of love and commitment, on her finger, were beautifully positioned, at the moment of capture. With food, presentation is very significant, and the presentation of that sandwich, and fruit, is most lovely. Preparing food is, itself, an act of love. This image is the result of a team effort, and illustrates love, perfectly. Yours, and Hers.
Had I made such an image, I would print it, large, and frame it.
