If you remember, send me a PM closer to the time and I can make at least one suggestion for a slightly 'off the beaten path' option that is relatively low cost and gets you right down to the river, though not at the falls. The whole town is designed to maximize extraction of money from visitors. For example, timed street parking anywhere near the falls is $10 per 30 minutes, which is outrageous, of course, and sends you off to one of the $20-30 flat rate lots instead. Parking rates fluctuate depending on the season and time of day, but with family in tow, it's difficult to beat the convenience of the big lot right by the Table Rock welcome centre. There is $5/day street parking up in town about 20-30 minutes walk from the falls, if you can get it during peak season and you'll have to walk through Clifton Hill both ways, with even more temptations to spend money (unless you take the funicular). But it's all good.

The two guys were doing a serious photo shoot. I guess braving the elements for FB profile/status update and good for impressing the ladies and/or friends & family abroad in warmer regions (to be fair, we did the exact same thing to share with my wife's family).

We'll be spending a few days in TO as well, then off to Montreal for F1.
A couple 90/4 Macro bird photos from Wednesday (also cross-posted in the old 90/4 Macro thread). Focus was at around 90-100cm @ f/8 (they move so quickly it's tough to nail exact focus wide open) and images have been cropped a fair amount, probably to about 135mm equivalent.
