All wide open. Unbelievable how sharp this lens is. I bought the ZM 35 Biogon last year after reading Diglloyd's report comparing it and the Leica Summicron 35 ASPH. I was never happy with the Biogon and it went...but the Cron is in a totally different world. I can't believe his comparison favored the Zeiss so much b/c I have not seen that at all. Another reason why not to pay attention to all the internet talk
Well, to be fair his tests were stopped down landscape shots. I'm not a great fan of the Biogon wide open, but stopped down to about f/5.6 it is exceptionally sharp and detailed. It definitely shows more fine detail than the 35 Lux ASPH @ f/5.6.

I think this is as good as it gets with the M9 in terms of resolution.
Thanks for the comments guys! Some exceptional shots here.
Finally in Bali, and I have minimal internet service, so no shots until I am back next week, as it is impossible to upload, and download is incredibly slow.
Luka, great shots!
Ryan, love the shots with your new lenses!!! Congratulations.
Steve, very nice shots!!! Love the first one with the wate
Really nice set Charles! I would have never guessed that was with the 35 Lux ASPH II - I would have probably guessed it was shot with your 50 Lux ASPH. I wonder if it's your postprocessing or if the rendering of the 35 Lux ASPH V2 is really that different from the V1.
I hope you are enjoying Bali! Here in Stockholm we had a severe snow storm yesterday, but today was really a perfect winter day.
Thought I'd drop in and show that the ZM25 on a M8 is capable of out of focus areas, too. After all, thats only a 33mm effective FL. Any more focus differential from a wide 24/25mm and one would have to shell out $5K for a 'lux (or get a M9 with a 35mm FL in this case).
Loving the lens, Ryan, but it is sort of close to my 35/2 ASPH.
Luka excellent series. It seems like 80-90% of your shots lately have been with the Lux. New lens hasn't worn off yet, huh?
Jim I like the out of focus in that shot. The Cron and ZM 25 though close in length have very different personalities. The only 24/25 length lens I would want over the ZM 25 is the 24 Lux. The Zeiss seems to hold its own if not be the preferred lens vs all the Leica 24s outside the Lux.
With my wife's permission, I'm sharing the scariest part of her visit to the hospital today. By the way, right after I took this photo, she said "that didn't hurt at all!"
Edward, sorry but none of the above for me, I'd say spend a little more and get a nice used 35CronV4 or 35Cron ASPH and you could live with that lens for a long time on the M8 or M9.
The CV 35/1.4 is quite sharp and very compact but has a tendency to focus shift when stopped down.
