Love this shot Dan! The tonality and colours are amazing.
Another great lens by Zeiss, the 18 Distagon. I notice that you have an ISO 160, which according to some reports maintains a DR equivalent to the D3.
Thanks guys, Ryan yes my custom cut Singh-Ray 3 stop reverse.
Charles I tend to shoot everything tripod-bound at ISO 160, no use using the pull 80 setting. The only reason I might go higher is needing DOF and faster shutterspeed, but 1s was fast enough to catch this guy:
Thanks Rod, the moments before sunrise and after sunset are my favourite I strongly considered the 15mm Heliar, and if I had an M8 I would certainly have one!
philber....is that with the 5DMII? you know you are in leica forum, right? Regardless, my thoughts: I don't like your cropped version with the motion blur....seems to be missing something for having blur. If you do crop, which I think you should, I would prefer to see the pigeon on his arm in it. Second, throw it in B/W and increase the highlights/sharpness and I think that would look great (cropped version)
Charles...I agree, the 25 is a far superior lens to the 35 in my opinion. I do find that if sharpness is priority 1 than the 35 is better in that regard. Here are a few more pics:
