Thank you for this post. It is so interesting to see the portra shots and the M240 shots side by side. I have an M7 and a 240 and use VSCO for my M240 files. No matter how much I worked at my M240 files to look like film, they don't look like portra run through my M7. It is nice to see this type of comparison with other people's work. I love my M240 and use it when I am doing a large volume of work but I think I am going to try using my M7 more.

No worries, it is interesting to see the differences side by side. The seascape shots with M240 were with a 2 stop GND filter too, the M7 just handheld with no filters.
The way the film captured the subtlety in the clouds/colours makes me realise I far prefer the outcomes from film for my personal use. Its inspired me to get my act together and shoot/develop B+W film as well.
Another very similar example (these are all just lo-fi home scans at 3000 x 2000.)
For now, back to digital with MM1/28 Cron

Good to be back, I have been gone a while. Did a street photography trip to Japan and have been trying to put together two zines to show case the best colour shots and best b&w shots. It has been taking up all of my time but I am almost done and will be spending more time on here. Love seeing everyone's work here. Makes me want to go out and shoot even with winter!

Life's been busy with mini me #2 and I've been flirting around more with film lately. I hope to be back and posting here again in a little while, so keep those excellent photos coming...they add color, personality and spontaneity to my otherwise busy day!
Finally got my Nikon Coolscan fixed! Now I can start chewing through my backlog of film haha.
Here's a little set from a walk through the Presidio in San Francisco just after Christmas, it was foggy, wet and often hard to see any great distance. I loved it. MP, HP5, 35 + 50mm Summicrons.
