It's quite interesting actually.. And obviously a LOT of effort went into it. And it's huge. But a large portion of it is closed to the public.

Continuing where I left off, from a weekend in Pittsburgh a couple weeks ago. The more I visit, the more time I want to spend exploring the many weird nooks and crannies of the city's neighborhoods, dictated in part by the hilly geography of the area. These photos don't really show any of this, as they were shot in the Southside Flats neighborhood. Still, the blue-collar nature of the architecture is interesting to my eyes. Reminds me a bit of Hamilton in some areas.
I completely agree with Nicholas's comment a few pages back about the low winter light now in the northern hemisphere - I love it, just wish it wouldn't get dark at 4pm!
Well, here is harsh, tropical light near midday. The third picture shows the bridge on the Sai River that forms the border crossing from Mae Sai in Thailand to Tachilek in Burma, here viewed from the Burmese side.
Charlie - great to see you guys are up and running. Looks like you don't have much snow yet but it will come. We have around 1 meter base which is pretty good for this time of season.

This is the next day some shots during sunrise. I was expecting a perfect day but got a snowstorm instead. The first half of the day was the easier part of the trek to Minami Dake. Gotta love how film renders highlights. 28 cron with provia 400x pushed 1 stop
Second half of the day was the harder part. A traverse from Minami Dake to Kitaho via Daikiretto. Its not technically difficult but its very exposed and the bad weather made it worse. Had to go slow through this one. These are shots before the col, on a good day you could see the Kitaho peak from the Minami approach. 28 cron with Trix
Sorry for the spam this ones the last one . I ruined this roll because I was silly enough to forget to rewind the roll and opened it the next day in dead sunlight. This is taken on the same day from the previous post just past the col. You can see trekkers crossing the traverse looking like minute men. I slept like sardines in a can in the Kitaho hut and the last shot is Mt Yari from the Kitaho approach. 28 cron and velvia 50
