Here's a 6-image pano from the Zuiko 35-70mm f/3.6 at f/8, ISO 100, 35mm:

The 100% is equally as sharp. And sorry about the noisy sky, I had to add noise to keep the JPEG
compression from banding. It was pretty bad - so I added noise to the sky area. The lesser of two evils.

That pano is spectacular!
Interesting aproach to banding problem, Bifurcator. I would like to know more about it.

Not much to know. Steps:
  1. Magic wand the sky area,
  2. Feather by about 5 to 15 depending
  3. Select Filters -> Noise -> Add Noise = 1% (you decide type) -> OK
  4. Optionally select Edit -> Fade and select a percentage that looks nice.

In this particular case I had to do it twice. Once I thought was going to be enough but the 24% scaling killed it all so I had to add it to the scaled one again.

BTW, on this site you can add a _ to the beginning of an image URL (filename) and it becomes a link. Maybe easier for quoting so close to the original. Like this:

Holy smokes that's awesome: http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1255/5180352518_4f56dc2a16_o_d.jpg I wanna be like hauxon!

PS: I guess flicker ones have recently started DLing when done that way... weird!

Thanks. I will set it up in LR3 watermark. Anyone knows if there is a way to add a border/frame around the photo in LR3 and maybe include the exif info within the border.

Thanks for the tutorial. Looking forward to try it myself.
Advice for quoting is also appreciated.

Late versions of the lens were MC, and had good contrast. Is yours SC?

Bifurcator, I like the night panorama shot a lot. So much detail. The hint how to avoid banding in jpg is a very useful advice.

I went out for shooting the park nearby. The only lens I carried with me was the
Olympus Zuiko Auto-Zoom 35-80mm f/2.8 ED.

I did several shots at f/2.8:

Mine was MC but not the latest version. Replaced it with the 35f2.

Thanks, Wee. I managed to snag one off the ebay a few months back. Yup, hardly see one up for sale on the ebay these days. This is my second copy, still upset with myself for losing the first one.

I really like the IR image, Mike. I think wide angle IR is where the crop sensor cameras really shine.
