v.2, I presume?

Why all the excitement over the v2 when 99% of people cannot even tell it apart from v1? I had both for a short period of time. Unless one prints 5 feet x 7 feet there is no way to tell the difference from f4 up. Wide open v2 is a bit sharpen but nothing that cannot be done in post with v1.

Click the image on your page, the background will turn to black. Click the upper right icon to view it in different size. Choose your size, and right click the mouse. On context menu, copy the URL (browser dependent), and paste that URL on the forum.

I guess itīs not possible to do it yourself right ?

thanks

I love such statements as they entertain me for few minutes.

So let's see if I get this blanket statement right:

When you say 99% of the people, you mean all the photographers population or all viewers or the ones who own the V1 or the V2 or the V1 and V2 concurrently or the ones who owned the V1 and V2 separately.

At any rate, if one cannot tell the difference between a 28 Elmarit V1 and a 28 Elmarit V2 then he does not need either and is much better off getting a P&S.

Hi , I have cleaned out a few cheap lenses to see how it would go and found i had more lint inside than when i started , Took a few goes to get it right ,unless you have a very clean environment and the right gear with the experience i would not attempt such an expensive lenses, If the dust does not effect the picture quality I would not worry about it too much ,that's my thought .

The original cap is #14163 which fits over reversed lens hood #12564.

I'm not 100% certain but I think I've seen both types. Slots for sure.

Hi all the MF experts
I've got a very newbie question to ask. It might sounds very daft, but here I am.
I've recently started MF with a Leica Elmarit R 60 f.28 lens on my Canon 7d body. But I found it's extremely hard to achieve sharp focus with just handholding. The reason I handhold most of shots is because I've not had a tripod yet. I've been put off by the idea of carrying all the additional kit on me while I'm out about to catch some occasional shots at convenience. I come across some pros here and on Flickers come up with some real sharp shots with handholds (as they claims). So I wonder if I'm missing out some techniques here?
Any tip please? Thanks in advance.

John -- Wonderful shots! Great and subtle color blending.

It's funny how much that Australian terrain looks like the California foothills approaching the Sierra mountains.

Fantastic light -- you are a master.

Depends on what type of macro shots your doing. I do almost all of my macro hand-held - but I'm not doing true macro (not anywhere near 1:1). I mostly shoot flowers, leaves, etc when I do close ups, 95% hand-held. The key is to make sure you have a fast enough shutter speed - with a 7d, and the Elmarit 60mm you want to have a shutter speed of at least 1/120 or faster....and then its all practice, practice, practice....

These were all taken hand-held...
