As requested, some samples from the 35-70 leica f4 : Macros and portrait, I really am not sure of the aperture settings on these. In general, it is a great walk around lens, the Macro button is unique, it allows you to zoom past 70mm and get closer. Not 1:1 though. Lens is very sharp, leica style rendering. It rivals my 35f2 summicron, just not at f2.8.

Thanks! I did. The Negative Space theme was what sparked the whole idea.
Love that spider shot with the 100. Very colorful. Doesn't that lens just beg to be used?
Your shot gets my vote at any rate..
Cheers! It was a little to dark to stop down more and I neither had flash nor tripod.
Love this lens, albeit it is rather tricky to focus imho (I keep miss focusing all the time).

Thanks again.
I've been there (losing light, no flash), but I think you made the right choice in a slight compromise for an image that still has quite an impact.
It is tricky to focus, but it's so rewarding when you nail it.

Thank you very much for the kind words, and indeed - a shot slightly off the original idea is clearly better than no shot..
On full frame do you like more 28 2.8 or summicron 35, both last version? I've the summicron, which is faster, but I read the elmarit is sharper and has more contrast...
