It’s a V1 I believe (bayonet good) but in good shape, clean glass. I also like my Voigts better... the Nikon’s are probably going regardless, they’re just sitting around.

Agree Michael. I have an MSOptics 73 1.5 Sonnetar I am using often as the rendering is quite nice (very Sonnar) and the size is just fantastic. Have you shot/thoughts on the new CV 75 1.5?
Then, I don’t know if it is a good deal or not. I had V2 cron, I actually like that lens. V1 seems never get enough attention so that price could be all over the place.
I personally have no intention to shoot film right now so I totally blanked if that is good deal or not

Appreciate the feedback regardless. Prior to your comment I wasn't really aware there was a V1 and V2! So useful none the less. Going to do more digging on the V1, but as you say, V1 info is a bit sparse so we'll see. I'll survive if I miss the deal at any rate.

I saw that VC75. It is definitely more modern and sharper glass than both lux. (Not sure about resolution but less SA for sure)
I don’t see the excitement from images out of that lens. It misses character I am seeking which is the biggest selling point of it. It almost perform so well on every regards then you will question yourself why you get it over other modern glasses? It doesn’t offer smoother bokeh than most 85mm f1.4 out there.
Plus I am not a fan of their body design. I don’t like the fact that VC is all over the place about their body design. Leica is more consistent in that regard, the classic design will never outdated. It is at least part of my decision.
I will not buy more old classic lenses as they are specialized glass that only shine in certain condition. I am happy with 35lux M v2 and 80/75lux. The coating, the SA, the low contrast, the flare, focus throw design and build quality all add up make them a charm to use.
Sounds unreasonable, I know but this is my take.
A said note, I like mostly what I saw with SL cron and Nikon f1.8S for clean look but I will give two big thumb up on 58mm f1.4G (after more use) and Sigma 45mm for modern introduction, these two are rare IMHO.

I am so happy I did not sell my 180 mm Apo Telyt R f/3.4. It does a wonderful job on the A7R3. I can't wait to try out the 90 mm Elmarit R f/2.8 V2 next week.

At Heart Lake (Lake owned by the Adirondack Mountain Club), the Adirondack Mountains, Lake Placid, NY.
Can anybody comment on how the R 90/2 AA performs on the stock A7R3? While my existing 90/2.8 Elmarit V2 has negligible CA at f/4 and below, I see obvious LoCA even at f/8. I am wondering how much of it is caused by the lens (vs. not having the Kolari mod), how much better the 90/2 AA would be in this respect, and how the 90 mm Leicas would perform compared to the 85 mm Loxia (again, just terms of CA and LoCA)?

Though subtle it is amazing how much the mist has moved in the 20 seconds obscuring some of the finer detail in the trees.
