Thank you for likes. You can't see details on that stitched picture of the tree but Leica Macro-Elmarit-R 60/2.8 is impressive... Not one of my best shots but one of my best lenses...

I just received a Leica Elmarit-R 180mm f/2.8 a couple of days ago. One of my first shots with it...
Happy you must be!
Which version? Non Apo version 1, 2 or Apo one?

You are welcome. I will look into the Macro-Elmarit-R 60/2.8 as I am finding that I really am liking the R lenses.
The 180/2.8 is the non apo version 2. It is a thing of beauty.

Yes it is!
I had the Apo-Telyt-R 180/3.4, Apo-Elmarit-R 180/2.8, Elmarit-R 180/2.8 V.II... The last one is the one I prefer for bokeh and lack of distortion despite of CA wide open... Excellent combination with Leica Apo-Extender-R 1.4X to make an excellent 250/4...

Ah! Good tip on the 1.4X! Thanks. So, it seems that I chose well...
Peire - your images are leading me down the path of getting yet another great lens. The Leica Vario Elmar R 80-200/4 will be added to my kit within the next few months. Your influence is bad for my wallet, but good for my soul. :-)
Have you looked at Peire's images using Zeiss/Contax lenses? Pretty soon, you will be looking for those lenses too...
Kidding aside, the Leica R 80-200/4 is a good lens. You may also want to check out the Leica R 180/3.4 APO lens.
Cheers,

+1 on both lenses! Leica R 80-200/4, Leica R 180/3.4 APO lens.
Rather affordable by typical Leica price standards.

Yes, indeed - I have been watching Peire's Zeiss images for a few years now as well. I actually own many Zeiss lenses and really, really love them. What I am striving for is an array of high-quality lenses that have different rendering characteristics so that I can choose what I feel is most appropriate for a particular image. Or perhaps a better way to put it is for how I want an image to look and feel.
I, too, really enjoy using Leica and Zeiss lenses. The reason that I started using Sony mirrorless cameras is to be able to use these lenses, specifically, Leica R lens and Contax G and C/Y lenses. While they all have wonderful IQs, they do have their unique rendering styles, to each of their own.
Here are few images taken with Leica Summicron-R 35/2.

Gorgeous pleasing images. Thanks.
Tasty food, no doubt.

It certainly is a real benefit for using mirrorless cameras. Being able to adapt just about any lens is fantastic. While I still have my Nikon DSLR, I am adapting all kind of lenses to my Fuji X-T2. Those photos are wonderful - thanks for posting. The Summicron-R 35/2 looks wonderful too. Hmmm...

Yes, the R 35mm f2 Summicron is a beautiful lens with beautiful rendering, unfortunately for landscape photography on a FF camera it can never get sharp into the corners due to field curvature. Thus I sold mine several years back after owning if for about 30 years.
