It's more like what I got. While I think the flare is a little interesting, it is very distracting.
I have come to the conclusion that the Kipon FR is really not very good. Even though it is a FR and you would expect an increase in contrast and clarity, it does the opposite. It softens and degrades the image. In the corners it gets even worse, smearing becomes really pronounced.
In the above image, I think the extra flaring has to do with light bouncing around between the lens and the FR as well as in the FR itself.
