here is my uncle, Claude, my father's eldest brother, 91 years old. Nothing special, just the pleasure of sharing the photo of a man who sweetened my childhood...
Why don't you use the CaptureOne Pro 10.2 which covers the D850. You can download a free one month trial to help you get through.
I only use C1P and never liked LR. C1P handles large files very easily as it was originally designed to handle Medium format files.
It is a shame that I cannot make time to shoot with my Leica R glass and they are sitting in the cabinet collecting history time. Too busy with the D850 and 105E for the moment.

Keep the pictures coming guys.
Thank you for your recommendation. I down load it right away. It render images with more pop even default. Very nice! However, I have to totally change work flaw to work with it. There is no flickr upload, no color slider to directly work with, I need more time with their color wheel control. I also slightly prefer white and black control in additional to shadow and highlight in C1. and keystone is implement better in LR, as well as HDR and merge tool are missing in C1.
But I have to say that a few forest images I captured with D850 and OTUS through C1 are really pop in color and rendering with just default setting. I am not sure I can do as good as in LR. I will not change my work flaw for it as for now though, who knows...
BTW, in additional rendering file better, it is way faster than my LR somehow even with 46M D850 files. This is a huge plus for someone never tried C1 before. Choice, choice.....

What you are saying is very correct. The main point for C1P is the quality of the render and the tools to tweek that manually.
The other point is that we know that files in the future are going to become heavier and heavier. C1P has the engine to handle large files from it's first inception to deal with Medium format.
Yes you will have a small learning curve and I think it is worth it. On another note, most pro commercial Fashion and Beauty photographers use C1P for their processing. I don't do landscape myself but take your word for it to be better that LR.
As I said before you want a better render, then it has to be C1P. This is what we shoot for
