Hello,
my first contribution in this world.
I love peterGlaso's, zhangyue's, Jean Jacques', JaKo's photos!
I just would like to ask a question to zhangyue: what is your camera? I understood you changed a lot of times for Nikon D810, Df...
Best regards.

Hi, welcome to thread and very nice images shared.
I mainly use D700 and DF for R lens, DF for smaller size with even better low light performance and I still feel D700 is the best digital Nikon camera ever build with ambition and passion at the time of introduction. I change both focus screen with Canon S type for focusing. 6D is good body for R lens. I was not happy with its color for skintone at the time I own it but do enjoy the ownership for a short period, very good design.

Hello zhangyue,
thank you very much for your quick and kind answer. I'm not surprised about Df's skills. This camera must be awesome at every Iso even if resolution is not so high. It must do the job very well. I'm not surprised either by D700 as I feel the D750 disappointing to my eyes. But what about D810? Didn't you like it?
Actually, I love EOS 6D, the best camera ever build by Canon for his performance in low-light. Besides, the 20 FF megapixels sensor is enough for nice 30x45(cm) prints. I understand about skintones with EOS 6D, but actually, I nearly only work in Black and White. I was interested in Sony A7RII to replace it, but I'm not convinced by EVF for critical quick shoots as I never use autofocus, in sport above all. In a few years, EVF should be interesting but not yet, waiting.. I miss my R8/R6 where OVF has nothing to do with any digital SLR camera for manual focus. Who never tried SLR camera made before digital era, cannot understand. I hope Leica S2 is the answer, but to expensive to me.
What about D810 with Leitax?
PS: next time, I compress in 1024 jpeg at 750k. On 1440 jpeg, compression under 750k is not good.

What about D810 with Leitax?
Camera body choice is very personal. A7xyz didn't suit me for general photography but they are great for travelling and landscape. I personally prefer OVF and love delay free between me and real world during shooting. For document life moment, absolute sharpness always give way to life moment, EVF is not there yet. The same apply for pix count, I don't need 36M,42M or 50M for every pic I took. That is why I trade my D810 with DF.
Having said that, I do recommend D810 highly, it is THE best Nikon to date.(just not as ambitious as D700 at the time of introduction, Nikon brought everything they know about FF into D700 at the time.) D810 mainly improve above D700 to me is: better sensor, better shutter(quiet), fast response(image review etc), better manual system(customer manual having much less constrain than D700), ISO64, LV and better/faster AF etc...
My plan now is sell the DF and hold tight on D700 with a few R glass. Leica S is indeed boosted R. and the price get boosted more but 2nd hand price is dropping. it might fit in your budget in the future. I love that camera but that is a totally different topic.
Wonderful pictures here. I used to have a pristine copy of the Telyt 280/4 APO till I eventually parted it to Doug ("telyt"). I do miss the lens but I am sure Doug is putting it to better use than I ever would have.
I also have a pristine (9+) copy of the 1.4x APO R extender just sitting in the camera cabinet. If any one is interested, I would be happy to send some pictures. Comes with the original box, bag etc.. Please PM if there is an interest. Personal pick up available in SF Bay Area and surroundings.
Thank you for your answer zhangyue. I am interested by Leica S' format and lenses but not by the camera! I am not convinced. Waiting for a new CMOS sensor... Edit: Here is a review of the new Leica S(007). I should prefer a 645Z with HD PENTAX-DA 645 28-45mm F4.5 ED for medium format, better Q/P for sure.

Wonderful pictures everyone! I enjoy them all.
Have been busy with our relocation to Canada so did not have time for photography. Here is a snapshot of my daughter I took a while ago. Having both Leica R and M system, I love them equally. There's still some thing special about R lenses ...
Thanks! Yep they were wide open. I actually just shot those on standard profile on the d800 and they're pretty much straight out of the camera bar the girl using her phone (3rd pic) which i played with shadows/highlights. After i used the 80lux on the d800 the 24 1.4's colours on the same profiles just didnt give me the same look and feel.
I'll never get over the 80lux. The bokeh, mandler glow and the way it flares. My favourite tele lens by a mile.
