No Noooo...see pic below: he was quite happy I didn't buy many G type auto lens that is 'squandering', he will be really happy to found out Dad's Leica lens worth a fortune when he found out.

I need a new screen for D810 though. Maybe it is a good idea I should keep D700, a perfect combo for Manual lens.

Nice, Bernard. What is your opinion of the Apo-Elmarit 180 versus the Apo-Telyt 280? I have the latter, but something shorter would be handy.

Thanks. The 180mm f2.8 APO is truly amazing on the D800/D810 at long distances. It is still excellent closer, but a bit less out of this world in my book.

The colors are very nice and well corrected.

I use it a lot for pano work and it is wonderful for that, reasonably light and compact lens also.

The first one is of the creepy entrance of some kind of kindergarten.

The last one was actually from the CV 21/1.8, sorry! It does show how the CV lenses are more contrasty. For this reason they're less to my liking.
